The Mega Titan is a minor antagonist in the Kirby series, appearing in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror as its fourth boss, being fought in Carrot Castle. It is unaffected by most attacks, meaning the player(s) will have to rely on electric-based attacks, or knocking it into an electric fence, in order to damage it.
Appearance[]
The Mega Titan is a large blue robot with a silver plating on it front and no legs, using a rocket on the bottom to move around. It has silver circles where its arms would be, and its four hands - which are silver with blue wrists and are permanently curled into fists - floating beside it with rockets of their own. Its head is a silver orb with black eyes containing yellow pupils, and it has large, golden horns on top. While out of its armor, it has two small silver orbs floating at its sides for hands.
Biography[]
The Mega Titan is the defense system of Carrot Castle, and hold one of the eight Mirror Shards that make up the shattered Dimension Mirror. It's fought in the room right after the castle's anteroom, and on either side of its arena are two electrical fences that damage the player(s) on contact. It attacks by firing its four fists, either one at a time, or all at once.
The Mega Titan's armor grants it invulnerability to most attacks, and the only thing that can damage it are electric-based ones. This can be done if the player(s) use an ability with high knockback, such as Hammer or Bomb. Alternatively, an easier way to fight it is to use the Spark, Beam or UFO ability, which will damage it normally.
After it has been damaged four times, the armor will be destroyed, leaving only the head. It will then attack by firing missiles, which give no copy ability if inhaled. It has much lower health during this phase, and all attacks are now able to damage it. Upon defeating the Mega Titan, it will drop the Mirror Shard, and the player(s) will now have full access to the castle. When fought again, instead of dropping another Mirror Shard, it will instead drop a Maxim Tomato upon defeat.
The Mega Titan makes a cameo in Kirby Triple Deluxe, where it is one of many collectible keychains.
