Megaleg serves as a boss in the 2007 video game Super Mario Galaxy.
It is a gigantic robot which is powered by a Grand Star.
Physical appearance[]
Megaleg is a tripodal robot. Across its legs, it has luminescent arrows pointing towards its reactor core. The reactor is a glass dome protected by chain-link fencing. It has Bullet Bill launchers dotted across its body. It has large circular headlamps which resemble eyes on its central body.

Background[]
After Bowser steals the stars from the Comet Observatory, Bowser Jr. receives some and uses one to create and power up his robot, Megaleg. Megaleg is stored on a small moon where it waits for Mario to arrive to defeat him.
Super Mario Galaxy[]
In the level Bowser Jr.'s Robot Reactor, Mario arrives on a quiet moon where Megaleg is stored. After scaling Megaleg's body, Bowser Jr. arrives and tells Megaleg to begin his attack.
Megaleg's attacks centre around firing Bullet Bills at Mario. However, Mario uses the Bullet Bills to break down the protective fencing. Megaleg responds by activating its barriers and fire more Bullet Bills at Mario. Instead of hitting him, Mario had the Bullet Bills break through the barriers and eventually breaks the glass reactor. With the reactor destroyed, Megaleg shuts down and explodes witn the remains of its body exploding to scrap, giving Mario the Grand Star and increasing the Comet Observatory's power source.
At some point before the events of Super Mario Galaxy 2, Bowser Jr. creates a similar model to Megaleg named Digga-Leg.
