Jotun, also known as the Megatroll, is the main antagonist of the 2025 action adventure monster Netflix movie Troll 2, a sequel to the 2022 film Troll. He is a member of the Troll King's kind who sought revenge on Norway for his species' demise.

When the Christians ordered the extermination of his kind along with the assassination of Olaf the Holy for considering to have them banished instead, Jotun, Troll King, and many others were scattered across Norway in the ensuing purge. While laying in dormancy at the place Christians failed to reach him, Jotun vowed vengeance against humanity for the attempted genocide against his kin.

Appearance[]
Jotun is a colossal, humanoid creature with an appearance quite similar to that of the Troll King, standing over 100 feet in height. His skin resembles earthen matter, allowing him to blend seamlessly with rocky surroundings. He also displays a stout yet muscular physique, a large bulbous nose, a massive beard, a long tail, body hair composed of plant matter such as roots and branches and sharp canine teeth.
Personality[]
Unlike his late leader, Troll King, Jotun had since consumed by revenge against Christians and the rest of humanity. In fact, upon meeting "Beautiful", Troll King's successor, he didn't hesitate to beat the former into pulp, showing that not even his own kin were spared from his wrath.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Skilled Combatant: Jotun proves himself to be a skilled fighter as he easily overwhelmed the younger Beautiful in a duel.

- According to director Roar Uthaug, it was stated that a key scene with Jotun was inspired by a 19th-century drawing by Norwegian artist Theodor Kittelsen called The Troll on Karl Johan.
