Melody Pianissima is a minor antagonist in Luigi's Mansion. She's one of the Portrait Ghosts released by King Boo. She is a pianist who is found playing the piano in the conservatory. She is found in Area 2 after defeating Shivers.
Biography[]
Luigi finds Melody in the silent conservatory. Upon inspecting every instrument, they start playing on their own. Once they're all playing, Melody appears at the piano and compliments Luigi's musical ability, and plays a tune from an older Mario game. She asks Luigi a question about it, and he gets it wrong, she starts angrily banging the piano and telling Luigi that he "insulted" her before leaving. Luigi must leave the room and come back to get her to reappear. If he gets it right, she gets excited and promptly attacks Luigi with flying music sheets. Once Luigi sucks them all up, Melody's heart is exposed, and she can be captured by Luigi.
Trivia[]
- Even before Luigi enters the conservatory, the player can hear Melody playing the piano in the hallway if Luigi goes near the room, similar to how Mr. Luggs' eating can be heard from the dining room.
