Mercy Graves is a major antagonist in season 4 of the CW television series Supergirl.
She was a terrorist, a former Cadmus agent and the former head of security at Luthor Corp. She was also the sister of Otis Graves and the ex-girlfriend/former friend of Lex Luthor. Following the arrests of both Lex and Lillian Luthor, Mercy and her brother become partners with Ben Lockwood to put an end to the extraterrestrial menace plaguing the Earth by exposing United States President Olivia Marsdin as an alien and getting rid of Supergirl.
She was portrayed by Rhona Mitra who also played Kit McGraw in Nip/Tuck and Erma in Game Over, Man!.
Mercy once worked as head of Lex Luthor's security detail at Luthor Corp until she left due to Lex's relentless obsession to destroy Superman. After Lex is sent to prison Mercy along with her brother Otis go to work for Lillian Luthor at Cadmus until the organization is disbanded following Lillian's arrest.
The siblings later begin working with Ben Lockwood who takes the name Agent Liberty and form the Children of Liberty to hunt down and destroy all alien inhabitants living on Earth. The trio work together to plan an attack on President Marsdin's summit to mark the anniversary of the Alien Amnesty Act, but Supergirl saves the President and manages to capture Otis, while Mercy escapes and releases footage of the President shifting into her alien form to the public. She later attacks L-Corp and fights Lena Luthor, but is apprehended by Supergirl. After escaping from D.E.O. custody, Mercy uses a device to release a sample of Kryptonite into the atmosphere in order to kill Supergirl. However, Supergirl survives, while Mercy and Otis are both killed by a Hellgrammite they had previously captured and brainwashed into attacking innocent civilians.
Personality[]
Mercy was a radical xenophobe who despised all alien life, demeaning them as "filthy roaches" and saw human individuals that disagreed with her views as "earth traitors". Mercy was also an expert at manipulating others and convincing them to join her side. This is shown when she manipulated D.E.O. agent Raymond Jensen into betraying Alex Danvers by playing on his fear after President Marsdin's status as an alien was outed to the world.

Rhona Mitra previously appeared in the Nexltflix action comedy film, Game Over, Man!, alongside Neal McDonough who plays Damien Darhk in numerous shows set within the Arrowverse.
