~ Merle Abrahams describing his murders in the form of a nursery rhyme. |
Merle Abrahams, also known as The Infinity Killer is an overarching antagonist in the 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V. He is a famous serial killer who murdered several people in Blaine County, San Andreas before the events of the game.
Biography[]
Merle Abrahams was born and raised in 1947 on Cholla Springs Avenue, Sandy Shores, Blaine County, where he spent for the most of his life. It is unknown what happened to cause his insanity, but he eventually became a total sociopath, where he also became obsessed with the number 8, as well as infinity (∞), claiming that infinity was just 8 stood up. This would lead Merle to be given the name "The Infinity Killer".
Eventually, Merle's insanity peaked in 1999, as he sadistically murdered eight male joggers and scattered their bodies throughout the North Point islands, which are located north of Paleto Bay. The authorities dubbed the murders as the "Infinity Murders", due to Merle's various infinity-related clues he wrote on rocks throughout Blaine County. Eventually, he was arrested and brought to Bolingbroke Penitentiary, while his Sandy Shores home was burned by presumably an angry civilian or neighbor.
Abrahams died in December of 2004 in prison while on trial for the murders at the age of 57. While Merle never confessed to the murders and where the bodies were hidden, he did confess to his obsession with 8 and ∞.
