May I have permission to make a reproposal for Frank Horrigan? After researching the game's contents, the user who made his removal included a lot of inaccuracies for why he wanted him removed, such as a lack of moral agency when the game makes it clear he enjoys killing people for fun such as shooting an innocent family and their child.
Yes, but here's the problem - AI just can't bodyswap with people, a soul could. Not to mention that it makes way more sense in every way for it to be the real Afton, as there is no one else acting like Glitchtrap and there is no reason for Scott to kill William and replace him with William 2.
Also, William was teased to be alive even in FNaF 6.
Depends on the medium as A.I.’s in some media can indeed override the original mind to replace and take over. To kill and replace with essentially a copy isn’t even unheard of in media with the game shows us Springtrap/Afton being burnt completely with the indication he’d go to Hell which UCN hints. Until blatantly stated he is indeed the original Afton it should be taken as a virtual copy. There was a reason why users created a separate page and mentioned while somehow connected to the original Afton in some way not confirmed to be the original soul.
The indication is they used circuit boards of the what remained of the circuit boards from what I hear. It’s far less speculation to say it’s a virtual copy over somehow he can back as a ghost just because. Is it possible? Yes but until then we go with the vague connection and likelihood it’s just a copy. Your main argument against is simply it is not being explicitly said which goes both ways along with your claim A.I.’s can’t possess people when other mediums have them do just that.
Which hasn’t been established either way for FNaF and you are automatically assuming it doesn’t. All that is known is Glitchtrap is somehow connected albeit so far extremely vague with everything. We see Afton physically burn with hints in UCN he’s in Hell, until more info is released and made explicitly clear we merely treat it as a weird A.I. based heavily off Afton. You want unbiased? That is unbiased given nothing concrete indicates somehow Afton’s spirit escaped back into the mortal world despite the game where he is incinerated indicates that’d be the end of the original Afton. All we see is some weird virus showing up in the form of the costume Afton used in his kills.
We see him trapped in an explicitly said inescapable room specifically designed to ensure he dies, set on fire and them blatantly point out the fact all them are supposed to of been destroyed along with the building practically destroyed. Given how FFPS was supposed to be the last game it’s clear Afton was supposed to be killed. As for being killed off and replaced with a substitute it’s done all the time by creators especially if they decided they want a character basically back but somewhat different either in design or personality, even FNaF did it with some of the animatronics. Doesn’t help they apparently imply they used with backups or the remains of some technology to create the game which isn’t likely they could take from Afton if alive.
Glitchtrap like a lot of the characters has pretty much nothing known though he’s said to be made of strange data and called a virus, this gives some weight to the virtual copy of Afton especially when if a normal ghost it likely would be trapped in a game given when Afton dismembered the animatronics when still completely human the ghosts of the children chased him as blatant spirits. I haven’t even said it’s not possible somehow the real Afton came back but to wait as so far it seems to lean toward a copy with you just not liking the idea due to finding it stupid. The only thing concrete is it’s somehow related to Afton, even the official site says it’s a virus. When more info is released it can easily be cleared up either way but until then we will treat it as it is in the story: some strange virus clearly based off of/connected to Afton given mannerisms and design of the costume.
When? Let’s see all the Toy, Phantom, Withered versions then you also have Mangle, Funtime Foxy, Freddy Frostbear etc. that use pretty much the same design with either a new paint job or slight change merely capitalize on the popularity of take the the place of said character.
Good day, Austin. Sorry to bother you at this moment, but I need to ask you something about what might happened to TV Tropes (or just to myself). I know that you're also a user on TV Tropes (since I found your username there) so I need to ask you about this site. I might have a little problem with it.
Everything was fine about 12 hours ago, but more than 5 hours ago when I tried to reaccess the site on my laptop (with my account logged in), I discovered that I somehow lost the connection to its database server (I'm not sure when it really happened), and it stays the way on the screen on the right.
In addition, after I have logged out the site on my smartphone and IPAD by force via clearing all of my browser's records, I can access the site, but with very limited availiablity (as many pages of all types will still shows that aforementioned error warning). I just need to know if you're also having the same problem so far - or in other words, I need to know if it's just my regional Internet's problem (I'm not living in the United States) or there really is a glitch on this site remains to be fixed.
