  • Dear DarkClaw3,

I just wanted to write you that as you ordered me, I didn't recreate the King Runeard PE proposal and let the other user who asked for it make it. I'm happy he qualified. However, I wanted to ask you how can I reserve a villain to make a PE proposal of him/her, as there's an upcoming movie where there's going to be a villain that I'm sure will qualify as PE.

If that's the case, how can I reserve the PE proposal so no other user makes it? And in how much time I can do it to avoid other users from reading spoilers?

    Thanks

  • Hi DarkClaw3,

I wanted to ask you when I would be able to propose King Runeard to be approved as PE. I previously made a proposal but I didn't know it couldn't propose a villain from a recent release, hence why the proposal was deleted.

In how much time I would be able to make the proposal again?

    Thank you ;)

    • What?

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, X9 did it. I deleted it because it violated the two weeks rule, and it is reserved. But seeing the film for myself...I don't think Runeard makes it.

  • What do you mean by not six months since the finale? Since the show is over now, no more stories and no more spoilers. That's why I removed it.

      Loading editor
    • That can't seriously be your logic, can it? Look, regardless of whether or not the show's still running, there are massive spoilers regarding how the series ends within those articles. And the rules are that a page with massive spoilers for a particular piece of media (in this case, MLP) must be under spoilers until that media has been out for at least six months. Ergo, those pages must be under spoilers until the series finale has met that deadline.

    • The deadline is in six months time?

        Loading editor
    • Six months since the finale aired, yes. I believe that would mean the templates can be officially removed on April 24th (or rather March 25th, as it was first aired on the Ukraine channel PLUSPLUS in September).

    • Fair enough. I thought that spoilers can be gone after the series ended. Guess I'm wrong.

  • Hey, mate :-). I would like to continue our Shakespeare talk from Iago's PE proposal. As someone who seems to know quite a lot about Shakespeare:

    1. Are you as disappointed from Queen Ingrith being the exact female version of Lord Capulet as much as I do? Personally, I would prefer the movie to be more complicated. More "The Fox and the Hound" than "Romeo and Juliet" all over again.

    2. Someone I hold dear said that Lady Montague is an anti-social control freak, and basically the secondary antagonist of the play. She's of course nowhere near Lord Capulet's ruthlessness though. Do you see her deserving a page in this wiki? If so, would you help the one who does create the page?

    3. I'm not saying Lord Capulet is pure evil, but he abused even his own household and hated the Montagues more than loving his family. If anyone propose him, do you see yourself upvoting him? I respect any answer, but I must say Lord Capulet is crawling under my skin more than many other Shakespearian villains does.

    • 1. Never saw Mistress of Evil. And I don't really plan to.

      2. Didn't she do like...literally nothing, though? If I remember, she had only two appearances before dying of grief off-screen.

      3. Eh, not really. Sure, he proved to be a complete taint in how he treated Juliet once she went against his plans to marry her to Paris, but in the end he still proved that he cared about her once he learned that she died, before having his ten-minute redemption and deciding that he would give up his hatred of the Montagues.

    • 1. I guess i'll like it better than you do. Not everyone likes the same things. But maybe you watched the first "Maleficent".

      2. I wasn't sure about her myself, but one always should listen to people who care about him, even if he/she won't take their advice. Know what I mean?

      3. The remorse part is up to debate. But your hypothesis makes him sound like Grommash Hellscream, in the sense that both were fudged-up for most of their lives and died for their sins/got a horrible punishment while saving others/making the situation less severe.

    1. I want to apologize for the mix-up on General Lunaris' PE Proposal. I didn't realize you were talking about yourself. It was pretty dumb of me to do that.

    • I'm pretty sure you also just did that. And even so, I thought you were just looking for a detailed explanation why Turbo isn't considered PE? You could at least get that very easily.

  • So… there was an image I added to my blog post for future PE proposals. It was of the character Queen Chrysalis from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and, since she feeds on love to sustain herself, I added a little pun about her being disappointed she couldn't feed on these PE candidates' love because, well, they have no love. Any love they claim to have is like obsession, perversion, or pragmaticism. However, seeing that the image was apparently copyrighted, I decided to remove the image from my post blog because I did not notice this label under it:

"This file is copyrighted. The individual who uploaded this work and first used it in an article, and subsequent persons who place it into articles, assert that this qualifies as fair use of the material under United States copyright law."

I don't know exactly what this "fair use" or "subsequent persons" means, but at least I would like some advice before I readd the image to my post blog.

  • I just responded to your message/vote under my proposal to assure you there are no hard feelings over what happened. You can read it whenever you like, but one of the most important things I wanted you to know is that I'm not upset over what happened, and that I'm sorry if I came off as being that upset over it at the time. I was only upset in the first place because in two different ways, it was against the rules, and I had just gotten permission from an administrator to reserve it at the time, which only gave me more inclination to interpret it in the most negative context. However, it's pretty apparent in retrospect that you probably just forgot about the whole "waiting two weeks and reserving the work in advance" protocol for proposals on characters from new movies, TV shows, games, etc. So please don't feel too ashamed about it. We all make mistakes, I haven't held it against you, and I was admittedly too quick to take it the worst possible way at the time.

    • Kinda figured that you wouldn't hold a grudge. Still, could've saved myself a lot of trouble making the the thing in the first place if I'd just bothered to check the schedule; but yeah, like you said, its nothing to worry about. Thanks for being so forgiving, anyway.

        Loading editor
    • No problem. I just wanted to make sure that you knew that and weren't taking it to heart. Besides, now I'm sure you'll be much more likely to reserve a work in advance if you really want to discuss/propose a character from it going forward, including the next season of Ducktales. In fact, I don't mind you covering the next season of DuckTales at all if there's anything to discuss. I just want to know in advance. After all, you do seem to have both a decent amount of experience doing proposals and a passion for the series yourself.
