    • tohru adachi from persona 4

he fused himself with his own shadow. A shadow  is a being made out of a characters worst part of thier personality's and make them even worst, on top of that he was being used by two other villains that were trying to take kill every one in the world and in the series  killing people happensd a lot in the series and in just about every game thier is some one trying to kill all life in the world. his body even got taken over by one of the other villains, and after the events of persona 4 he is out of jail and he is very adamant in trying to atone for his past crimes,he also     genuinely values his friendship with Dojima he even was seen smiling when Dojima came to visit him in prison, and he also showed remorse when Dojima still sees him as his partner.

  • I just feel like we should make a cut on the All The Tropes Wiki every once in a while so that the CM category on All The Tropes Wiki doesn't become meaningless...

      Loading editor
    • And I feel like this fear of CM becoming "meaningless" is unfounded. No matter how I look at it, it seems you're trying to apply TV Tropes standards to ATT's version of the trope. CM on ATT isn't just for any given villain who is the least bit nasty and crosses the MEH - it's established criteria and standards to determine what passes and what doesn't, and most of the examples you argue about make the cut based on that. (And yes, we do make a few exceptions for characters who only leave CM territory through Characterization Marches On rather than Character Development - Mayuri, Orochimaru, Tobi/Obito Uchiha, and Kevin 11/Kevin 11000 being prime offenders.)

  • On the subject of Terrormisu being listed as a Monster (on All the Tropes) you've managed to elicit my curiosity; exactly how canon are the bonus episodes and how do we know they're non-canon?

      Loading editor
    • I haven't played the game, so I wouldn't know. They just seem pretty AU-ish, what with characters like Terrormisu appearing and getting no big reaction from other characters given what she tried to do in the main story.

        Loading editor
    • Ah. I ask because Terrormisu genuinely seems heinous enough; it's just the debatable canon of the episodes that might... complicate things.

        Loading editor
    • I don't think they're canon. Another thing to consider is that in the main story her Tiaramisu persona was shown to be a total facade, but in the bonus episode she puts it on again almost schizoprhenically.

    • Well, if I can't pick up the game, I'll watch a playthrough of it to resolve this issue.

  • I was reading his talk page and I noticed you said he can't be labelled a Complete monster because TV Tropes says he isn't, were you serious? There are plenty of Complete Monsters here that aren't approved on that stupid site.

      Loading editor
    • And yet there are also villains who can't get the label here either because TV Tropes says so (Hello Turbo, Ghetsis, and G4 Tirek!) I was just wanting to be consistent with who we give the label to.

    • I'm actually working on getting Turbo revisited right now, take a look at my post on Syndrome's talk page if you're interested.

  • I think Mr. Krabs deserves to have the Complete Monster category, I know you have experience in All Tropes (And I'm glad to see that even The Shadow Queen is a CM there) but at least he could apply to be a Knight of Cerebus, even TV Tropes classified him. I know Jester said that TV Tropes is very silly with the KoC category but well.

    • YTP!Krabs isn't a CM. He was trying to resist his bloodlust at first, cared about Spongebob and Squidward enough to be hurt by them selling him out to the cops, and is overall played for black comedy that turns out to just be a story by Patrick in the end. Knight of Cerebus would be a more fitting category for him seeing as, while humorously absurd, he and his actions ARE very dark.

    • If this is about the YTP Mr. Krabs, Krabs' portrayal in that YTP is typical of most darkfics; pointlessly dark fanfictions that take canon characters and demonize them to such ludicrously gruesome extents they're impossible to take seriously (Rainbow Factory Rainbow Dash, Snapped Isabelle, etc.) and thus cannot logically be measured with the CM system. This version of Mr. Krabs falls under that exact same rule. Besides, Krabs is insane to a point where he probably doesn't know what he's doing.

    • Exaclty. We even see his breakdown and him going "STOP IT! MAKE IT STOP!" to the voice inside his head. Krabs in the video was spoofing geuinely mentally unhinged people who turn into serial killers and cannot help their bloodlust, not people who enjoy killing because they're completely evil and like to see their victims suffer.

  • Say, do you think Ghetsis should have a separate page on this wiki much like Giovanni in Bulbapedia to solve this wiki's CM problem? What do you think?

    • I'm just giving a suggestion. I saw this on Giovanni's page on Bulbapedia & I presume it might work & end this TV Tropes excuse problem.

        Loading editor
    • Well, it won't. Sorry.
