I had to delete your proposal about Fritz because a user of this wiki/contributor of the CM Thread in TvTropes informed me that your proposal was plagiarized from the original EP made by Lighty. I will not erase your name from the White List because you are experienced with the category, but I recommend to not do the same thing again if you want to continue writing PE proposals.
Great job on proposing Kikuhara! May I add this guy on my to-do list for VW proposal. Tbh, he's actually one of the guys that I'm really really borderline on proposing especially when watching the anime alone. I become a lot confused with his motivations in Episode 11 or Episode 12.
Hey G! Just wanna ask something for the sake of not derailing the CM cleanup thread:
Out of curiosity, which incarnation of characters that you want to have on your belt? Like for example: X Troper wants to have a "Joker or Satan" incarnation on his list.
I'll be honest that I kind of wanted to propose an incarnation of Da Ji, the evil vixen spirit from Fengshen Yanyi (probably being a progenitor of God Save Us From The Queen trope I guess), but its a bit unlikely. Hopefully I can get lucky soon.
Another one is several Nazi members (One of the members, Himmler, interests me), Nyarlathotep and Satan.
Btw... I'm still going to do Blue Jones from Sucker Punch. He's one of the candidates I'm passionate to gave an EP on. Though I think I wouldnt mind giving you Supernova film, 2Guns or Destro but we'll see.
I'll do that...Soon. As for Gai. May or may not delay the writeup until the end of May which is my birthday btw. But we'll see as I'm planning to skim Brynhildr in the Darkness, Elfen Lied, Another Eden and Owari no Seraph this month
Sieg might be an issue given what happens to him at the end, but I think Mr. Gold defiently counts. Nonetheless I'm ver happy you managed to finnish Pandora, and if you want my opinion you should at least EP the two, especially Mr. Gold.
Well, you could argue that Mr. Gold could count due to extremely petty motive to the point that he want to destroy a city (Considered he felt looked down by a clan, thats something to consider). The problem? I feel this is like a Xandred or Serrator problems where The Dragon blows him out of the water (Yes! I'm talking about Sieg who is the heinous standard of the show)
Sieg, yeah... This is a tricky one. Especially we have moments like this:
In Episode 23, Sieg confronts one of Mr. Gold's goon, Hao Wang's corpse, after he got defeated by Queenie while touching him and saying this dialogue: "The seeds of evolution have been sown. I won't let your ideals go to waste. Everything... Is for the sake of new world"
He was implied to ve infinite possibilities Long has discarded to save humanity. (Though he's his own character so no issue)
When defeated, Sieg last line is this: "Quantum particles react to the human consciousness. "Family" huh? It seemed such a miniscule and powerless existence that I didn't pay it any mind. But to you, it was an important factor, lending strength to your consciousness. This is yet another possibilities. See you again, Leon Lau. At another of Chaos' intersections." (While gracefully admits his defeat when being sealed).
Oh yeah, you want to know what Sieg has done? I'll give you his rapsheet at a later time. He definitely punches his class in terms of being The Dragon to a Big Bad Wannabe for Gold
Again Sieg is a bit tricky as basically sets the heinous standard but those points do seem militating, though I wonder if Sieg could qualify as a Magnificent Bastard.
Mr. Gold on the other hand seems much more petty and sadistic compared to Sieg as at one point Mr. Gold want to boil everyone in the city alive to death, while dismissing Sieg's more pregmatic approach of just destroying the city. Also given that Mr. Gold isnt as intelligent as Seig and goes all out with the resources that he has, I say that Mr. Gold is at least worth effortposting, as well as Sieg
Hmmm you know what... I'm going to EP both of them at a later time after I finished the Hollow Fields candidate.
As for Sieg qualify as an MB... Not sure due to the stunt he pulls on Episode 12 (Using one of the guy that got infected with his machination to attack innocent colony that got infected by the plague. But i dont know if it was mostly Gold's orders or not)
Just started watching the anime btw so that I could make a case for Gai for Magnificent Bastard cleanup thread :P
Anyways, speaking of which... I really really need a confirmation on Segai's info. In Segai's CM writeup, it's said that he "Tortures a defensless woman" as his first Establishing Character Moment while on the same scene, he also hanged an innocent man because why not?
The issue is, I watched Episode 3 (Which is the first Episode Segai appeared) of the anime but I don't recall that Segai tortures a defensless woman. Is this from the OVA or something like that? Just needed a clarification :)
Btw, I just managed to update Keido's writeup. I admit that it's not very good since I do tend to forget the details, but I try at my best and here's the end result:
"Shuichiro Keido is the leader of the GHQ Anti-Bodies and the Arch Enemy of a resistance organization known as Funeral Parlor. In the past, upon learning that his friend, Kurosu Ouma's, offspring would become the progenitors of a new race in the aftermath of the Fourth Apocalypse, he experimented on countless orphan boys to create an "Adam" that would deny Kurosu the privilege of shaping the next generation of humanity in his own image. After learning that Kurosu's research on the Apocalypse Virus surpasses his own, he murders his friend in a jealous rage. In the present day, after learning that Funeral Parlor began to rebel against GHQ, Shuichiro then uses any means to take them down such as firing a Kill Sat that ended up killing several Funeral Parlor members and their collaborators and then launches an Apocalypse Virus along with his general, Segai Waltz Makoto, in order to incriminate the Funeral Parlor. After one of the district of Tokyo, Loop 7, got infected thanks to Keido's machinations, Keido then announces the district to be sealed for the next ten years and then enacts a plan to exterminate anyone in the district. After the leader of Funeral Parlor, Gai Tsutsugami, is dead, Keido then manages to resurrect him in order to make him the next Adam and then helps the organization initiate a worldwide outbreak in order to spite Kurosu even further."
Reason why I did this because I feel that some of his most heinous act isn't explained pretty well and feel that the current writeup--like Segai--is outdated. Lmk what are your thoughts on it
Yeah. Although the only part that I wasn't happy enough and probably can be changed is about Keido's motivation resurrecting Gai. Sure, Haruka--Shu's adoptive mother--participates in the resurrection process so that he could stop Shu's tyranny but if I remember correctly, Keido didn't want to stop Shu's tyranny and has a hidden agenda on his own reviving Gai.
Also, I'm curious about your opinion on the anime :P
Actually for me. It was honestly style over substance. I won't gonna downplay the good things that came in the anime but I won't gonna lie that the animation and the soundtrack were pretty top notch (The guy who composed GC is also the guy who composed Attack on Titan soundtrack). But the issue with GC is that the story kind of needs more polish and it creates several question (Such as who are Da'ath, Who is Inori and is she a fragment of Mana Ouma, How did Shu lost his memories, Why did Daryl suddenly got tamed and then back into his psycho mode and so on)
Now then since you've finished with Gulty Crown, will you get to finnishing Juushinki Pandora so we can finally talk about Mr. Gold and Sieg? (Also I think we should message each other in TV Tropes about that)
