Yes I read the rules and Im still not sure why It was considered Fan-Fiction. The only thing that is vaguely close to breaking a rule was one image I used as the Infobox image, but it was the official skin just modeled to be standing so it looked more interesting. Everything else there was canon.
I made two brief mentions to possible explanations for an inconsistency in his backstory as well, but that was also only a couple sentences each.
Probably more constructive to open dialog rather than dumping everything into the garbage chute instantly. The escalation is too damn high lol. If it was the image or either of the two lines about backstory inconsistency that could literally be removed easily.
His involvement with the video's creation is enough. He even grins evilly; he's a villain. Please just let it go; I have two admins with me on this and the page was approved for recreation after I told one of them about the story and the character.
Sorry but i fail to understand how is he evil. By that logic, Involvement of Suicide Mouse and Squidward from Squidward's Suicide are villains too, because they have involvement's in the videos too... Just beacuse of a photo of a man making a grin, it dosen't mean they are evil because of it. Pretty sure he is just a neutral character in the whole story anyway.
The story isn't even about him, it's just about how the video made the people react. He didn't make them harm themselves, the video of him just sitting did. If Mereana actually did something evil in the video or in the story he would of been approved. But he is just a neutral guy which's photo got made into a possesed video.
Suicide Mouse and Squidward aren't villains because they aren't real; they're cartoons that the true villain (the creators of the videos) put in. The Man is different because he is suspected to BE the creator of the video, as well as the uploader and the one who cursed it. We have a page for the creator responsible for Squidward's Suicide (the Child Murderer), so it makes sense we should also have a page for the creator/participant responsible for Mereana Mordegard Glesgorv, the Man.
And he does more than just sit there; the story goes that the original video was four minutes long, and featured what employees described as someone screaming over the sound of buzzsaws. YouTube took down the video, but uploaded the first two minutes (where he sat there) in order to quell suspicions. So, if you actually read the story, you'd know he did SO much more than sit there. His evil actions were just in the full version, which, in the story, have been hidden to ensure no one sees them again.
They explain in the story that him staring is part of the video.
"There is a video on YouTube named Mereana Mordegard Glesgorv. If you search this, you will find nothing. The few times you find something, all you will see is a 20 second video of a man staring intently at you, expressionless, then grinning for the last two seconds. The background is undefined.
This is only part of the actual video.
The full video lasts two minutes, and was removed by YouTube after 153 people who viewed the video gouged out their eyes and mailed them to YouTube’s main office in San Bruno. Said people had also committed suicide in various ways. It is not yet known how they managed to mail their eyes after gouging them out. The cryptic inscription they carved on their forearms has not yet been deciphered.
YouTube will periodically put up the first 20 seconds of the video to quell suspicions, so that people will not go look for the real thing and upload it. The video itself was only viewed by one YouTube staff member, who started screaming after 45 seconds. This man is now under constant sedation and is apparently unable to recall what he saw. The other people who were in the same room as him while he viewed it and turned off the video for him say that all they heard at the time was a high pitched drilling sound. None of them dared look at the screen."
No, he's the one doing things, they just can't be shown or talked about because they're so horrible, and whatever he did cursed the video. Now please end this conversation so we can get on with our lives.
Oh for God's sake... they CLEARLY indicate that, after the 45-second mark, he begins doing evil things too evil to describe. THERE IS NO DESCRIPTION OF WHAT HE IS DOING BECAUSE IT IS A SCARE TACTIC. You say that there "is no proof" that he did anything, but yet you can't prove that yourself! Listen, this conversation is over. Even if there's a chance that he's the one responsible, he needs to get his page. Now, I'm going back to the admin I originally discussed this with to get the page restored. You clearly don't understand subtle horror and vagueness in action, and I'm done trying to explain it.
Sorry for all of this, Magma, I suggest you close this when you have the chance.
I ask because of the Duplo Aliens page that I'm scratching my head over. Spoiler alert if you haven't seen The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, but...it is revealed that the Duplo Aliens did not have evil intentions. I mean, yeah, they did stuff that could be seen as evil, but it was (more or less) provoked.
I guess maybe a better question is, should that page be deleted? I've looked on Discord, and frankly, I'm surprised that no one thought to discuss this there.
