  • Wouldn't Spike be considered the main antagonist since he antagonizes both of the titular protagonists? (though usually antagonizing Tom, as multiple appearances consist of him threatening and sadistically harassing Tom despite either never being provoked or not even being his fault, even to the point of making the poor cat fear for his life)

  • Justt curious... what makes you think that Mr. Krabs isn't the central antagonist of the series?

      Loading editor
    • too episodic, central should apply to shows like breaking bad, or some south park seasons, that have a consistent story, or movies, not episodic shows like spongebob or regular show

    • Lemme jump in here for a sec. While yes, SpongeBob is too episodic to have a central antagonist, there are 2 other factors keeping Mr. Krabs from qualifying.

      1. He’s not usually an antagonist. Even in his more villainous episodes, SoongeBob actively goes along with Mr. Krabs’ schemes and endures his misdeeds because SpongeBob cares about both him and the Krusty Krab.

      2. Antagonist scales go like this:

      Main —-> Central —-> Secondary

      By your logic, Farhan, the scale for SpongeBob goes:

      Plankton —-> Krabs —-> Karen

      Here’s my problem with that. Karen is usually the one coming up with Plankton’s schemes. So she kinda has to be directly below Plankton, and obviously she’s not central, since she wouldn’t even be coming up with those plans if not for Plankton, and Plankton’s the one who usually to carries them out.

      So all in all, SpongeBob SquarePants simply doesn’t have a central antagonist.

    • yea, that also applies to shows like south park and regular show which did get less episodic later on, but instead of an overall central antagonist there are central antagonists for specific seasons

  • Why you got rid of what I just put? because in the second pilot called 2 In the Am PM Mordecai are by far the most inappropriate characters of the show because they cuss and saying drug references.

  • I don't think Chick's in grey zone. He's still a villain in the Cars franchise.

    • depends how he's portrayed, if he's just a jerk and a cheater, but is the only antagonist he will still be debateable, if he say murders someone to have no competition in a race or something then yeah debateable doesn't exist anymore

    • He tried to kill the King though. That counts.

  • Don't forget to report Coolster17 to the wiki admins immediately in case he starts abusing categories or goes antagonist-fussing again, sir.

  • He gets less screen-time than Axlerod, Zündapp was in the film for 4 minutes and 10 seconds while Axlerod was in the film for 5 minutes and 11 seconds, so that’s why Zündapp is not the central antagonist, and if you don’t believe me, time their screen-time. I tried to change Zündapp to secondary antagonist on Pure Evil Wiki but the Admin, (I forget his name) won’t by it, I tried to explain it to him, but he’s just too stubborn and I got blocked for keep changing him to secondary.

    • that's not the purpose of central, central antagonists drive the plot, and sometimes you don't need that much screentime to drive the plot, look at marcel from rio

  • Are you sure that Peter is actually the villain protagonist rather than an anti-heroic protagonist? Let alone some villainous acts?

      well, yeah, but peter is 10 times worse, krabs at least cared for his daughter and hates seeing her dissapointed (he's too cheap to do anything for her by himself) but he never abuses her, or shoots her, the worst thing he did was to plankton in driving him to suicide, peter does stuff that's of similar severity daily

      I mean, that is more common for Peter in the newer episodes. Since he originally started off as caring, good-natured, and silly.

      He cared a lot about his family a lot at the time that he once even said that he would take a bullet for Meg.
