Like seriously, what are you actually doing? I've asked you to explain why you keep removing the category and talk about it, but you don't say anything. You just continuously remove it. Are you just waiting for me to post on your wall or are you just going to continue this fisaco?
Don't play smart aleck with me. I put back the category because of AOT's gruesome content. I've asked you multiple times to explain why you keep removing it, but you refuse to say anything. So I ask you again, why do you keep removing it?
The fact that you have giant cannibalistic monsters that go around ripping and eating people limb to limb and soldiers slicing their way through them. There's even an OVA where one of the main characters goes berserk and chops up a titan to pieces.
I would but I saw articles that had plagiarism template had been removed of template before you or anyone had a chance to look at them so I don't see a point making the template.
Enma Daio was deleted as "not a villain" and while it is true he serves a divine purpose we have articles on many beings that do evil for the greater good.. Enma is in charge of Hell, he commands demons and he also tortures the souls of the dead.. sure he does it to ultimately try and save humanity but he is a fearful demon, the "dark half" of a deity, I see no reason he should be deleted as we have many similar beings here (for example Grim Reaper is not evil, nor is Q etc.. they all perform evil for a greater good).
I have asked admins to repeal this deletion - I get what you say in that he is ultimately part of the "good" side but ithe myths are clear that he is a demon side of a deity.. the "dark side" of that god.
yes, he may have a soft side but that's why we have "affable evil" or "necessary evil" - he is the chief torturer of Hell.. such a position is not something that can simply be taken for granted.. he inflicts as much pain and suffering as he can, so as to "purify" souls.
Enma is an embodiment of necessary evil as he will cause suffering to those who come across him, everyone suffers in this folklore - while he may save them it does not remove the fact he is just as likely to punish them to thousands of years in the "crushing hells" for rather minor offenses.
he is also invoked as a way to make children behave and while he's not a malevolent Oni the quote alone shows he can be very cruel and punishes people for minor offenses with great severity:
“If you tell a lie, Enma will rip out your tongue!” .
only all souls are tortured, not just those in hell.. everyone suffers under the system, all you have to do is die.. you will suffer no matter what, good souls only get "less" torture than the others.
Can we just talk about souls under Enma's custody since the topic is about him? Tortured souls in Enma's custody deserve it. They undergo tortures that befit their sins they committed in life.
Enma under Anti-Hero:
- Lawful Neutral
- Dreaded
- Extremist
- Heroic Demon
- Leader
- Heroes of folklore / Mythological Hero
- Status dependent on version
and his goal is hardly a villain. And if you disagree with Grim Reaper being a villain, you can appeal to the admin.
Zam, stop trying to get Enma deleted over your own bias - we have Punisher, Judge Dredd and so on in this wiki AND on heroes wiki.. Enma is no exception.. you feel he isn't a villain? let me tell you something..
torture is never a heroic deed and no, he is NOT an anti-hero, he is an anti-villain and he comes from a faith where EVERYONE can and will face extreme torture as part of learning.. not every soul Enma faces is "deserving" of such punishment.. he does care for people and does his best not to inflict unnessary pain but he also does stuff that is far and beyond just teaching people a lesson.
he'll rip out tongues for lying, allows his Oni to club any souls who are too weak to climb a mountain in order to reach the 1st stage of being judged and worse.. death is not pretty for these people.. it can be eased by 1) a good life and 2) living relatives offering prayers and dedication - even then it is not easy.
since we have Punisher, whose enemies well and truly deserve everything he gives them, plus Dredd (who is more heroic now but started as a fascist) Enma stays.. Enma will also have a place on Heroes Wiki, just like these two.
someone who goes around torturing and exterminating evil is still a very valid character on this wiki, you can't say "not a villain", regardless of your personal belief the facts are simple - going around torturing souls, even those "deserving it", is a villainous role.
that's why we have Anti-Villain, Evil vs Evil, Lawful neutral and so on..
ultimate goals don't have to be villainous either btw.. Punisher's ultimate goal is "a world without crime" - he does so via killing and torturing anyone he sees as a criminal.. and so on.
Enma's not got souls in his custody btw, he's seen as a judge of Hell but that's inaccurate as he's actually one of 13 Judges you face BEFORE being judged worthy of Heaven, Rebirth or Hell.. that means Enma deals with souls that can be redeemed.
also, we have articles on similar devil-figures such as Iblis, who is not free of God's command and does only as said God asks - which is tormenting sinners and leading people astray.. the reason they are here is because they are fearful beings, regardless of their importance in their setting (which makes them Necessary Evil).
oh.. you're also thinking more on Enma's OTHER half - who is a beloved god and very much a hero.. that's Jizō Bosats.
all in all, the character / figure can appear on BOTH wikis because his actions and his stance are polarising at the least - to some torture and so on is justified, to many others it is always villainous.. even if for a greater good.
also I have altered the article, giving a link to Heroes Wiki for both Enma's more heroic side and his divine counter, Jizō Bosats - that way things are resolved without further conflict.
I wanted to know you that @ 9pm, I'm settin' up a new but unfinished page of the Dark Ones (The Evil Dead), the same evil god-like species Ruby of Ash vs Evil Dead is part of.
Category Spam: Adding categories for the sake of it is counter-productive and considered a charge. When adding categories, users must add them all in one edit. Users who add one category per edit can get in trouble, especially when they do nothing else to contribute to the wiki and add many categories one by one.
Edit Spam: Editing only for the sake of it is but counter-productive and considered a charge, no different from category-spamming. When editing, users must add them all in once or a few times. Users who have condone too much of this as in more than 3 or 5 times per edit in a short period of time can seriously get in trouble, especially when they do nothing else to contribute to the wiki and add many writing (especially in poor manners such as writing gibberish or edit-warring) one by one.
I know. Everybody knows season 3 came up @ last. But still, You gotta ease up on editing, like do editing all bunch of info in one day instead doing one small per edit again & again in just one day because people might find that a bit confusing or yes a little bit annoying. I'm not mad @ you, sir. I'm just letting know you that.
oh, btw, I am not sure if Ruby's real name is Mulier Daemonius de Igne. She says "In Rome they called me...", meaning it is more likely another one of her many alias.
