Metal Sonic is a minor antagonist in the video game LEGO Dimensions, specifically its Sonic the Hedgehog-themed level "Sonic Dimensions". He is a robotic copy of Sonic the Hedgehog, summoned by Dr. Eggman from the dimension where he finally defeated his organic template to do it again.
Appearance[]
Metal Sonic looks nearly identical to his mainstream counterpart. That said, being a LEGO minifigure, is design is notably simplified.

It's unknown if this version of Metal Sonic originates from a dimension different from the one Sonic and Eggman are from, or if he ended up in a different dimension under some circumstances. Either way, it's known that he had successfully defeated that dimension's version of Sonic.
LEGO Dimensions[]
During the battle on the Death Egg, Eggman used the Keystone Device to summon Metal Sonic to the battlefield, after Robo-Sonic and Mecha Sonic failed to kill Sonic. Metal Sonic proceeded to try and repeat his victory against Sonic, but during the fight he recklessly activated Maximum Overdrive next to the Keystone Device, threatening to tear the whole place apart. This was avoided, however, as Sonic tired the robot out before landing the final blow, causing him to blow into pieces. Metal's severed arm ended up triggering the Keystone Device, creating multiple portals, one of which released Chaos.
