“ | I am Metallia! Your master, and your contractor. I alone control your fate! From this day on, you shall refer to me as the Great Witch of the Swamp, Master Metallia! Hehehe. Let's start some chaos together. | „ |
~ Metallia upon meeting Hundred Knight. |
Metallia is the villainous protagonist in the video game The Witch and the Hundred Knight.
Personality[]
Metallia is a fun-loving thrill seeker, maintaining an incredibly childish mentality even though she's hundreds of years old. Metallia is quite sadistic to those she personally hates to the point that she wanted to kill Malia for trapping her in the swamp, with not even the fact that Malia was her mother giving her pause.
Over the course of the game, Metallia would grow to care for those around her to the point that she was willing to act as the seal to Niike so that it wouldn't destroy the world.
Biography[]
Past[]
Metallia, originally named Lia, was a girl created by Uruka to act as a purifier for the swamp that was created from Niike's body. She would bond with the witch Uruka and her student Malia (Whose DNA Metallia was created from, making Malia her surrogate mother), however, eventually, Metallia would be abandoned by the two in the swamp so she could naturally purify it while having the ring that allowed her to leave the swamp broken, trapping her there.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight[]
After hundreds of years, Metallia would summon the Hundred Knight, an incredibly powerful magical knight who is actually a piece of Niike's body. Metallia would put Hundred Knight to work breaking the Pillars of Temperance that contain parts of the swamp, spreading the swamp so Metallia could go out into the world.
Once a few of the Pillars of Temperance were broken Metallia would begin to venture out into the forest that her mother Malia was guarding. Malia would attempt to stop Metallia by summoning the Elder Tree, a sentient tree that guarded the forest for thousands of years but Metallia just burnt it to ash instantly.
After encountering her mother again, Metallia would have Hundred Knight beat her and break the pillar she was guarding so Metallia could deal with her personally. Metallia, instead of killing her, transforms Malia into a mouse and summons a horde of male mice to rape her, causing Malia to flee.
Now that Metallia was free from the forest, she would venture into the outside world and encounter Viscole and her knights. Upon meeting them, they'd mistake her for Malia which Metallia played along with until Viscole and her knights were killed where Metallia would revive Viscole and keep the dog princess as her reluctant pet against her will.
Because of Viscole and Metallia seeing more of the world, she would start to change into a better person, albeit still a thrill-seeking sadist but one that would be willing to protect the world from destruction.
Trivia[]
- In the Japanese version, the names Metallia and Lia were originally Metallica and Lica respectively. The change was likely made to avoid copyright issues with the band of the same name.
