Metallix the Metal Sonic is an antagonist in the Sonic the Comic series. He is a robotic copy of Sonic the Hedgehog, created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik to destroy his nemesis.
Biography[]
Metallix was created by Dr. Robotnik and his assistant Grimer as part of "Operation Metallix", meant to destroy Sonic. The robot drew Sonic's attention by kidnapping Amy Rose and bringing her to the Never Lake. After a battle, Metallix escaped to the Robotnik-controlled Miracle Planet, taking Amy with him. Sonic persued him there and continued fighting the villain, who was now much stronger due to drawing the power from the planet itself and shrugged off any of the hedgehog's attacks. Eventually, Sonic received help from his time-travelling future self, went into the past to prevent the Miracle Planet's cyberforming from happening in the first place, before going forward in time to pass the Time Stone to his past self. Due to this time paradox, Metallix was erased from existence, although other characters still remembered him.
Metallix would be revived by Robotnik alongside several other villains when he obtained godlike powers, but was yet again destroyed by the original Sonic.
