Biography[]
SIC Hero Saga: Before and After[]
Mezalord was the childhood friend of the first Xavitan in Downworld. After rising to power as one of the Akuma Clan's military commanders, Mezalord was at the forefront in rallying the Akuma Clan to go to war against humanity, leading them in several "human hunts". In response, Xavitan rose up in rebellion and attempted to help a human woman named Chiyo Shirasagi, who he had fallen in love with, escaped from Downworld. Mezalord hunted Xavitan down and personally slew him but suffered injuries to his face in the process. He would then use Xavitan's rebellion as an excuse to pass a new law in Downworld requiring all newborn Akuma males to have circuits embedded in their heads. Among those affected by this was Xavitan's son, born to Chiyo, who named him "Xavitan" after his father.
Akumaizer 3[]
As the first step of his plan to invade the surface world, Mezalord sent his followers out to abduct humans so they could be brought to Downworld. When Xavitan defected from the Akuma Clan to protect humanity, Mezalord sent Evil and Gabra to capture him and bring him back to Downworld to face tribunal for his betrayal.
After his men captured a number of humans, including several whom Xavitan had befriended, Mezalord had them brought to his fortress where he zapped them with a magical blast to test their strength. Once he had separated the strong from the weak, Mezalord instructed his followers to put the strong to hard labor and to kill the weak and use their blood to make wine. An outraged Ippei then attempted to attack Mezalord, but was easily knocked to the ground by Mezalord's demonic power. As punishment for his resistance, Mezalord ordered for him to be executed for violating Article 13 of the Akuma Clan's laws by having his skin melted off with a special medicine.
At just that moment, however, Evil brought a captured Xavitan to Mezalord, only for Xavitan to escape and reveal he allowed himself to be captured so he could rescue the humans captured by the Akuma. As Xavitan freed the hostages, Mezalord ordered his followers to kill Xavitan and recapture the humans. However, after being saved from being trapped by a boulder by Xavitan, Evil defected to Xavitan's side out of gratitude along with Gabra, who had been spared by Xavitan earlier. As the three faced off against Mezalord's forces, Mezalord pulled out a special flute and played it to torture Xavitan, declaring he would only stop if Xavitan joined the Akuma Clan's side once more. However, Xavitan was able to resist pain and smash the flute and, together with Evil and Gabra, rescued the humans Mezalord had captured before escaping Downworld.
Seeking to keep the secrets of the Akuma Clan concealed, Mezalord sent Iron Mask to kill all of the humans the Akuma Clan had previously captured. Among these was Mitsuhiko Ippei, who Mezalord chose to kill personally. After setting fire to his house, Mezalord showed up to confront Mitsuhiko as he was fleeing, stabbing the young boy in the back with his staff before attempting to kill him by setting him on fire. Before Mezalord could kill him however, Xavitan showed up just in time to save Mitsuhiko and dueled Mezalord. After knocking his sword out of his hand, Xavitan warned Mezalord not to ever harm a human before going to rescue Mitsuhiko.
Mezalord and Iron Mask later kidnapped Xavitan's human friend Jun Nagisa, planning to use her to lure Xavitan into a trap. Once she was in the Downworld, Mezalord attempted to execute her by placing her in an iron maiden but the Akumaizer 3 showed up just in time to rescue her. Mezalord then brought out a cage that contained Xavitan's human mother Chiyo Shirasaga, who he had previously thought had died, and threatened to kill her unless Xavitan rejoined the Akuma Clan. While Xavitan was shocked to see his mother again, Xavitan's mother encouraged her son to keep fighting against the Akuma Clan and to not worry about her, causing Mezalord to kill her before sending his forces to fight the Akumaizer 3. After defeating Iron Mask, the Akumaizer 3 went after Mezalord. Mezalord summoned a silver tank and attempted to escape by flying away in it, but Xavitan shot it down with his Xavitan Nova shoulder cannons and seemingly killed Mezalord.
However, after the Akumaizer 3 stopped the demon brothers Akanida and Aonida, Mezalord surfaced and revealed himself to be alive again, watching the Akumaizer from afar as they rode away.
After Kappado captured Yoshiko, he brought her to show Mezalord believing she may be useful. Instead, Mezalord ordered her executed immediately as he believed she would only cause future problems if left alive. However, it was at that moment that the Akumaizer 3 showed up and rescued her, defeating Kappado in the process.
Getting tired of the Akumaizer 3's interference in his plans, Mezalord sent Iceman from the Akuma Clan's elite executioner division to take out the Akumaizer. While successful in capturing Evil and Gabra and using them to lure Xavitan into a trap, the Akumaizer were saved when Darunia intervened and gave Xavitan back his Jankler so he could free them. After the Akumaizer 3 defeated Iceman, Xavitan fought Mezalord and seemingly destroyed him again.
However, Mezalord survived yet again and at some point sent Majoruka on a mission to set all of Japan on fire by first dousing swathes of it in a special liquid that would become flammable if combined with another liquid from the Downworld. During the Akumaizer 3's confrontation with Majorka, as Darunia attempted to stop them from fighting Mezalord appeared and revealed himself alive again. Mezalord revealed that he had implanted Twin Demon Circuits in Majoruka and Darunia's heads, one which would torture Darunia if Majoruka ever thought of doing anything righteous and the other which would kill Majoruka if Darunia ever betrayed the Akuma Clan, before ordering Majoruka and Darunia to kill the Akumaizer 3. Unable to defy Mezalord thanks to the circuits in their heads, the two Demon sisters obeyed and attacked the Akumaizer 3. After Majoruka was critically wounded by Xavitan and allowed herself to die to free Darunia from the Akuma Clan's influence, the Akumaizer attempted to fight Mezalord but Mezalord teleported away, vowing to face them again some day.
Mezalord would subsequently oversee schemes by Miirago, Hangyolar, Tokeiman and Kinglar to terrorize the surface and kidnap humans.
He later sent Dianger out to lead an attack, knowing of her past relationship with the Akumaizer 3's Evil. While Daiyanger's past with Evil was enough to get the Akumaizer 3 to hesitate on fighting her, Mezalord began to become concerned that her past with him was compounding her commitment to the mission. Daiyanger would eventually be persuaded to defect from the Akuma Clan by Xavitan and Evil, leading Mezalord to order his elite bodyguards to execute her. Mezalord would then be pursued by a vengeful Akumaizer 3 and attempted to escape inside an Akuma Tank, only for it to be shot down by Xavitan and for Mezalord to seemingly perish again.
Mezalord would travel to a village, accompanied by his two bodyguards, to check up on Noppelar's progress in carrying out their operation to dig up a water vein that connected to Downworld and use it to flood Japan. Upon meeting Noppelar, Mezalord beat him with his staff for cordially greeting him, reminding him that he was now regimental commander of the Akuma Clan. He then went on to reprimand Noppelar for getting sidetracked from his mission and trying to help the villagers with their water shortage instead of doing what he was sent to do before teleporting out with his two bodyguards. However, the Akumaizer 3 happened across the village and decided to help Noppelar solve the village's water shortage, leading Noppelar to turn good. While Noppelar installed a water regulator device Xavitan had invented to keep the water vein from flooding the village, the Akumaizer 3 drove Mezalord and his bodyguards from the village.
Mezalord would eventually make another direct attempt to eliminate the Akumaizer 3 by tracking down Kirinda, a skilled Akuma warrior who had defected from Downworld in the past. Mezalord held Kirinda's granddaughter Kiriko hostage and used her to blackmail Kirinda into fighting the Akumaizer 3 for him. His plan was thwarted when Kiriko was rescued from Mezalord's forces and broke the Akumaizer 3 and Kirinda's fight. The Akumaizer 3 then chased down Mezalord and Xavitan seemingly destroyed him with his "Xavitan Nova" attack.
After Namenameda became distracted from his plan by his love for Darunia, Mezalord and his bodyguards showed up to discipline him. Mezalord beat Namenameda with his staff while his bodyguards held him down with their pitchforks, before warning Namenameda he'll be sentenced to death if he doesn't complete the operation and teleporting away with his bodyguards. After Namenameda let his love get in the way again, Mezalord and his bodyguards arrived to punish him and dispose of the Akumaizer 3 themselves. Mezalord and his bodyguards attacked Xavitan on top of a building, but Xavitan was able to fend off Mezalord's bodyguards before fighting Mezalord one-on-one. Mezalord overpowered Xavitan and nearly knocked him off the edge, but Namenameda fired his gun at Mezalord and blew him off the building. The Akumaizer 3 then performed their Magic Circle Attack to finish off Mezalord, who simply laughed before exploding again.
Mezalord survived and returned again when Great Demon King Gulver ordered him and Geberu to gather their as many forces as they could for an all-out attack on the surface. Mezalord brought his own force of Aguma soldiers to support Geberu and his elite guards in their offensive. When the Akumaizer 3 showed up to hold them off, Geberu directed Mezalord to attack them while he handled operations elsewhere. Mezalord led his forces against the Akumaizer 3 in an attempt to overpower them, only for the Demon Peace Party to appear. The Peace Party's leader, Bascal, announced that the Demon Peace Party had won popular support in Downworld and taken over the Akuma Clan while Mezalord and Geberu were away before joining the Akumaizer 3 in facing Mezalord and his army. Mezalord then proceeded to fly away from the scene while his army battled the Demon Peace Party. However, Gabra was able to catch up to him by transforming into Gabra-Cho and knocked him out of the sky. Mezalord landed near a construction site and turned around to face the Akumaizer 3. He fought Xavitan in a one-on-one fight before being defeated by the Akumaizer 3's "Three Kick".
However, this was all part of Mezalord's plan, as he revived immediately after with his "Mezalord Regeneration" power, making him even stronger than he was before. Gulver then spoke to Mezalord and ordered him to focus his efforts on destroying the Akumaizer 3, leading Mezalord to join Geberu in waging another assault on the Akumaizer 3. After the Akumaizer 3 repelled Geberu with their Magic Circle Attack, Mezalord confronted them himself. The Akumaizer 3 attempted to use the Magic Circle Attack on Mezalord as well, but Mezalord was able to tank the attack without even flincing and knock away Xavitan, leading the Akumaizer 3 to retreat for the time being.
The Demon Peace Party then attempted their own attack on Mezalord's base, but Mezalord and his men were able to overpower them until the Akumaizer 3 arrived. The Akumaizer 3 and Demon Peace Party the proceed to fight a massive battle against Mezalord and his army of Aguma, in which Xavitan goes to confront Mezalord one-on-one. Xavitan denounced Mezalord for the countless people he murdered, but before he could attack Mezalord ordered his Aguma to throw their spears at Xavitan from a ledge. However, Evil then transformed into a smokestack and blew the spears back at the Aguma, allowing the Akumaizer 3 to face Mezalord on his own. After Evil and Gabra join up with Xavitan, the Akumaizer 3 perform their New Light Attack on Mezalord to finally defeat him for good. Mezalord laughs, believing he can simply come back using his Mezalord Regeneration, but instead he finds the attack sealed him inside a stone slab to get around his regenerative powers.
