Micah Bell's gang are supporting antagonists in the video game Red Dead Redemption 2, serving as the main antagonists of Epilogue Part 2: "Beecher's Hope". They are led by Micah Bell, with Joe serving as a commander.
History[]
After the Van der Linde gang's collapse and Arthur Morgan's death, former member Micah Bell left New Hanover with his associates, Cleet and Joe, to start a new gang. At some point prior to 1907, Micah had also reunited with Dutch, he also joins the new gang. They traveled to the West Grizzlies region of Ambarino, using Mount Hagen as a base of operations. Eventually, they became notorious for terrorizing settlers and other travelers, with law enforcement repeatedly failing to stop their chaos.
At some point in time, Cleet defected from the gang during an assault on a family, where Micah tried to kill a young girl. Cleet was able to defend the child but had to flee due to Micah and his goons attacking him.
Events of "American Venom"[]
After meeting with his old Van der Linde gang members Charles Smith and Sadie Adler, John Marston left his home in West Elizabeth to assassinate Micah Bell as revenge for him murdering Arthur Morgan. They went to the mountain resort town of Strawberry, where Micah's old associate Cleet was hiding at.
The three managed to find him, and threatened to hang him if he didn't reveal where Micah was. Cleet informed them that he was at Mount Hagen. At this point, the player can make John hang Cleet or have him refuse to do it, prompting Sadie to execute him herself with a revolver. They then rode to the mountain, but Charles was wounded by a sniper on their way up the hill. John and Sadie successfully fought off the sniper as well as other advancing enemy forces while Charles slowly followed.
Eventually, more gang members arrived and were able to stab Sadie. However, Charles killed her attacker before he could finish her off. Sadie informed John that she and Charles were fine but that he would have to continue up the mountain alone. John began to get closer to Micah's camp atop the mountain, but Joe and two henchmen confronted John. However, he was able to kill all three of them in mere seconds.
John fought his way through the campsite, slaughtering all of Micah's men in the immediate vicinity. He finally reached Micah's cabin. Though Micah was nowhere to be seen at first, he came out of hiding and pointed his guns at him. The two taunted each other before Micah opened fire, causing John to scram for cover.
They were trapped in a deadlock, slinging countless bullets at each other from behind cover until Sadie entered the battle, forcing Micah to drop his guns and slowly walk towards where they'd presumably execute him. However, Dutch exited the cabin and aimed his dual Schofield revolvers at both parties, causing Sadie to let her guard down due to shock and allowing Micah to take her hostage. John, Dutch, and Micah were caught in a Mexican standoff, until Dutch shot Micah, freeing Sadie. Despite being nearly mortally wounded, Micah simply cackled before pulling his revolvers out, trying to kill John and Dutch at the same time. John was able to shoot Micah multiple times before he killed him, and Micah simply staggered around before shrugging as he collapsed onto the floor, dead.
Trivia[]
- Despite Micah Bell's racist and otherwise derogatory remarks, one of the members of the gang appears to be a Native American and his character model can be encountered many times during the "American Venom".
- Including Cleet and Joe, there were a total of 54 members of Micah's gang on Mount Hagen, all of whom were killed by John, Sadie, and Charles.
