Michael Dawson is a major character in the ABC science-fiction television series Lost.
One of the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815, he was marooned on the Island with his son Walt alongside the other survivors of the crash. Having lost custody of his son to his ex-wife and remained distant with him throughout much of Walt's life, the two would bond over the course of their time on the Island, and Michael would go to extreme lengths to protect his son and get them off of the island.
He was portrayed by Harold Perrineau, who also portrayed Damon Pope in Sons of Anarchy and Calvin Shaw in Criminal Minds.
