| ~ Dr. Loomis about Michael. |
| “ | When Michael Myers was six years old, he stabbed his sister to death. For years, he was locked up in Smith's Grove Sanitarium… but he escaped, and suddenly, Halloween became another word for mayhem. One by one, he killed his entire family, until his nine-year-old niece, Jamie Lloyd, was the only one left alive. Six years ago, Halloween night, Michael and Jamie vanished. Many people believe them dead, but I think that someone hid them away. Someone who keeps Michael, protects him, tries to control him. And if there's one thing I know, you can't control evil. You can lock it up, you can burn it and bury and pray that it dies, but it never will… it just rests a while. You can lock your doors, and say your prayers at night, but the evil's out there. Waiting. And maybe, just maybe, it's closer than you think. | „ |

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers[]
Michael was left in a coma for ten years after he was burned alive in the hospital explosion at the end of Halloween 2. He was sent to Ridgemont Federal Sanitarium until he was arranged to be transferred back to Smith's Grove. However, upon hearing that his sister Laurie Strode had died and her daughter Jamie Lloyd lived in Haddonfield, Michael awoke from his coma, killed the Smith's Grove paramedics and drivers, crashing the ambulance and mutilating their bodies. After the vehicle crashed off a bridge, Michael escaped, stopped at Penney's gas station, and murdered the employees. Loomis arrives shortly thereafter in pursuit with a staff car loaned to him by Ridgemont, and upon discovering the victims, sees Michael wearing the mechanic's jumpsuit, standing menacingly in a doorway staring at him through his bandaged face. Loomis tries pleading with Michael to spare Haddonfield's population by looking for Jamie and taking him instead, but when Michael remains silent and unresponsive, Loomis fires at him, but Michael has vanished. Michael responded by driving off in a stolen tow truck, burning the station to the ground in the process, and leaving Loomis stranded. Jamie saw him as Loomis finally arrived in town.
He contacted Sheriff Ben Meeker, with the pair of them heading out searching for Jamie, who was trick-or-treating with Rachel. In the meantime, Michael attacked the Haddonfield Police station, murdering Meeker's deputies still there, and threw an electrical technician named Bucky into some high voltage power transformers at a power substation, plunging Haddonfield into darkness. When Loomis reveals Michael has returned home to kill, the truckers of Haddonfield form into a lynch mob to deal with Michael themselves, which angers Meeker, until Loomis reminds him that his forces are dead, and the truckers might be the only law enforcement Haddonfield has left. Meeker and Loomis find Jamie and Rachel and take them to seek refuge in the former's house. Unfortunately, Michael had followed them there hiding in the back of the surviving deputy's patrol car and murders Deputy Logan, Meeker's daughter Kelly, and her boyfriend Brady as he pursues Jamie and Rachel. Rachel is knocked unconscious as they try to climb down from the roof of the Meeker house to escape Michael, and Jamie is then taken to her school by Loomis, only to be attacked by Michael there. He nearly has Jamie at one point, grabbing her by the leg, but a recovered Rachel arrives and blasts Michael with a fire extinguisher, forcing him to let go of Jamie and vanish. They are soon met by Earl and his team of truckers, who heard the school alarm go off, and on Rachel's suggestion, they flee Haddonfield, meeting up with the Illinois State Police on their way to Haddonfield to reinforce Sheriff Meeker, who directs them to a substation where they believe they will be safe. However, Michael had gotten aboard the truck and kills Earl's fellow truckers in Unger and the Gateway brothers Orrin and Alan, who personally held a grudge against Myers for the murder of Alan's son ten years prior, before brutally ripping Earl's throat open, forcing Rachel to take control of the truck and try to throw him off of it. She eventually throws him off the roof and hits him straight on while cursing him to die before ramming him. Jamie went over to check her uncle's body, and as he rose once again, Meeker and a team of both the lynch mob and Illinois State Troopers showed up and shot him relentlessly until he fell down a nearby mineshaft.
Michael being shot relentlessly.
However, when Jamie held Michael's hand before he awoke, part of his essence potentially transferred into her, possessing her as she took a pair of scissors and, non-lethally, stabbed her foster mother with them, before appearing before Loomis, Sheriff Meeker, her foster father, and Rachel, in a scene reminiscent of when Michael killed his sister, causing Loomis to break down in shock and horror and nearly shoot her before being stopped by Meeker, while the Sheriff, Rachel, and her dad stare in muted shock and horror at thinking Jamie has followed in Michael's footsteps and been possessed by the same evil within Michael.
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers[]
Michael awakening.
After being shot at and falling into the mine shaft, Michael escapes being blown up by Sheriff Meeker, the lynch mob, and state troopers when they toss dynamite down the shaft to finish him off by escaping into a nearby creek and slipping back into his coma upon being found by a local hermit. A year later, Michael awoke from his coma and killed the hermit who had tended to him. Michael returned to Haddonfield to resume his hunt for Jamie and began stalking Rachel, stabbing her with a pair of scissors, and taking revenge on her for the attempt on his life when she ran him down a year ago. When Rachel's friends Tina Williams and Samantha showed up looking for her, Michael followed them to a party by first killing Tina's boyfriend Mike and disguising himself using the mask Tina got for Mike, but he is unable to kill Tina when they stop at a convenience store as Jamie, recovering her ability to talk after being rendered mute by the trauma from what happened a year ago, is able to have Sheriff Meeker send deputies and Illinois State Troopers to Tina's location to save her, forcing Michael to drive off empty-handed until another opportunity presented itself. At the party, Michael murdered Samantha and her boyfriend in the barn while they were in the middle of having sex, catching them by complete surprise, and killing them in the most gruesome way he could using the farm implements there. Tina found the bodies of her friends and the police officers sent to protect her after Jamie sensed she was Michael's next target due to the psychic bond she had gained with Michael following her being possessed by Michael's influence and stabbing her foster mother before regaining control of her body. Unfortunately, when Jamie and her friend Billy from the Haddonfield Children's Clinic showed up to help Tina, Michael went after Jamie, and Tina heroically sacrificed herself by letting Michael fatally stab her while Jamie was rescued by Loomis, Meeker, and the joint task force of Haddonfield Police and Illinois State Troopers. After seeing Tina's corpse get taken away by the coroner, Jamie agrees to Loomis' plan to capture Michael once and for all.
Michael, captured and imprisoned.
Sheriff Meeker arranged to use Jamie as bait to lure Michael back to the old Myers house to capture him with a large force of policemen, including a SWAT team, waiting to apprehend Michael. However, Michael murdered the staff at the Children's Clinic to distract the police, which included the doctor and nurse who cared for Jamie while she was there, luring Meeker, his deputies, and most of the state troopers back there, leaving only two troopers to protect Loomis and Jamie. Michael then killed the state troopers who had remained with Loomis and Jamie and began chasing Jamie through the attic. He pursued Jamie downstairs, where Loomis, now driven insane with stopping Michael, shot him with tranquilizers before finally beating him unconscious with a plank of wood before collapsing from a stroke, moments before Meeker and the rest of the police return after realizing they had been lured away so Michael could get to Jamie. Michael was taken into custody at the Haddonfield Police Station, and Meeker made preparation for him to be transferred to a maximum-security facility by the National Guard where he would remain until he hopefully died. However, before that could happen, a mysterious Man in Black who had arrived in Haddonfield attacks the station, killing Meeker and his men, and destroying the cell Michael was in, freeing him, to Jamie's horror when she discovers the carnage and her uncle missing from his destroyed cell.
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers[]
The residents of Haddonfield believed that Jamie and Michael died in the explosion at the police station in 1989. In fact, the mysterious man in black had taken them and had hidden them away in an unknown building, and now had impregnated Jamie. Jamie hid her baby at a bus station and fled back to Haddonfield. When Michael forced her off the road, Jamie took refuge in a barn, where Michael found and impaled her on a corn thresher. As the bleeding Jamie told him he could not have her baby, Michael switched on the machinery and watched as his niece was gutted. He then returned to Jamie's vehicle in search of the infant, to find that he was not there.
Meanwhile, relatives of the couple who adopted Laurie Strode have moved into the old Myers house. Tommy Doyle tracked the call to the bus station and discovered her baby, who he named Stephen. Michael returned to his house and murdered the Strodes in search of Jamie's baby, leaving only Danny and his mother Kara alive.
Tommy and Loomis tracked the cult down to the Smith's Grove Sanitarium. As Loomis confronted Wynn, the latter congratulated him on being the first to recognize the unique power of Michael's evil. Michael then continued his search for Jamie's baby, only to be pumped full of corrosive liquid and beaten unconscious with a pipe by Tommy. As Tommy, Kara, and the children prepared to leave Smith's Grove for safety, Dr. Loomis decided to stay to attend to some "business". When Loomis returned, Michael was nowhere to be found, his mask is on the floor, and Loomis is heard screaming implying that Michael finally killed his nemesis.
An alternate ending has Wynn, dressed as Michael, being discovered by Loomis, before Wynn passes the Mark of Thorn to Loomis, effectively making him Michael's eternal guardian, causing Loomis to scream as he comes to the horrible realization.

Trivia[]
- In a way, the Thorn Timeline Michael Myers can be considered to be the original due to him not undoing the events that happened in the original duology, with the H20 version of him ignoring some continuity, Rob Zombie's fully changing the timeline, and David Green's changing it all except for the first one. While Halloween III: Season of the Witch might refute the idea of being the first installment to avoid being part of how the continuity was established, it wouldn't necessarily cut Thorn Timeline Michael, as he had no version to be part of that story and back then before H20, Thorn Timeline Michael wasn't considered to be another version of the character, only having a retroactive establishment as an alternate counterpart like how DC Comics did with its golden age characters.
