The bindle boys in this town aren't used to the juice without a little the middleman taking his cut.
~ Mickey Cohen

Meyer Harris "Mickey" Cohen is a supporting antagonist in the videogame L.A. Noire. He appears as a thorn on Detective Cole Phelps' side later in the story.

A notorious gangland figure in Los Angeles, he is a supplier for Courtney Sheldon in distributing morphine in the black market of Los Angeles itself. He is always accompanied by his right-hand man Johnny Stompanato, making him a difficult man to find; and with his finger in numerous pies including illegal weapons trading, narcotics, gambling and any other illicit activity you can think of. He also has connections within the LAPD and knew Roy Earle before the start of the game. Cohen encountered Phelps on a number of cases.

He was voiced by Patrick Fischler, who also played Phil in Lost, Billy Capra in Grimm, Isaac Heller in Once Upon a Time, and Smoothie in Happy!.

Biography[]

Mickey Cohen is first introduced in the game after Phelps is promoted to the Vice desk in his department. In The Set-Up, he is encountered outside of a building by Phelps and his partner Roy Earle. Earle insults Cohen, which leads to Cohen's men to fire their Tommy Guns at Phelps and Earle as they quickly speed away from the scene before they are killed.

In Manifest Destiny, he is sitting in a restaurant with his right-hand, Stompanato where Phelps questions him about the Army Surplus Morphine being distributed throughout the city.

Mickey presumably suffered the same fate as his real life counterpart, losing most of his power in the criminal underworld before going to jail twice and dying of stomach cancer.
