He was cursed with the Golden Touch which he first thought was a gift until it turned out that he could no longer eat or drink, preventing him from eating and drinking forever and making him die of hunger, yet he still wandered in the word of living as a revenant. Biography[]

Backstory[]

Long ago, Midas was an ancient king known as the Golden King. However he was condemned by his own greed. He once received a gift of transforming everything he touched into gold. However he quickly realized that it was in truth a curse, as he could not eat nor drink, for all that he touched turned gold. Despite everything he still wandered in the world of the living. But one day, he transformed his young daughter into gold, but he managed to resurrect her, although the cost was great. However, his daughter's trust was still broken forever.

Before Chapter 2[]

In the era preceding Chapter 2, Midas directed his ambitions toward establishing an empire of espionage, intrigue, and conquest. To fulfill this vision, he enlisted three individuals of great promise: The Burning Wolf, Chaos Origins, and Sierra. Together, they formed The First Shadows. Each of Midas's original three operatives earned a distinct nickname: Midas' first enforcer, Midas' first redeemed, and Midas' first pardoned, marking the genesis of Midas' Crew.

Chapter 2: Season 1[]

Following an undisclosed period, a new faction emerged within Midas' Crew known as GHOST, setting the stage for rivalry with SHADOW. The Imagined Order enlisted GHOST faction to survey and map Apollo, coinciding with SHADOW's operations on the Island. Conflict ensued between E.G.O. from GHOST and A.L.T.E.R. from SHADOW, leading to strife within Midas' Crew. decided to bring the whole crew on The Island, and chose Eye Land as the site for the crew's headquarters, that he decided GHOST would manage, to the displeasure of SHADOW. Before establishing the Agency, he transformed numerous items into gold across Eye Land and left behind a GHOST folder on a golden toilet.

Chapter 2: Season 2[]

In due course, Midas founded The Agency, as well as several other bases in addition to it, in the four corners of the island: The Shark in the northwest, The Grotto in the southeast and The Rig in the southwest, these three bases were managed by the neutral faction. And he decided to bring his militarized Yacht to the northeast which is managed by GHOST. Safehouses were established by SHADOW all over the Island, and they also took control of Pleasant Park. The war between the two factions of Midas' crew intensified, as both recruited islanders and forced the agents of the neutral faction to choose a side. Midas did not intervene in the conflict as as throughout the season, he collaborated with his daughter Jules to develop a Device beneath the Agency, intended to neutralize the Storm. His room housed a journal depicting Oro's scepter, a symbol representing the Storm, and a suit akin to Tempest's attire, designed to defy the Storm. Countdowns for the Device's activation appeared within the Agency and Midas's room. During The Device event on June 15, 2020, Midas and his henchmen activated the Device, causing the Storm to transform into a colossal Wall of Water. Despite efforts to repel the Storm, the loop destabilized multiple times. Notably, files pertaining to Midas, Jules, and Lynx were discovered in Agent Jones' office during the event. Following the event, SHADOW triumphed over GHOST, seizing control of The Agency.

Chapter 2: Season 3[]

At the outset of Chapter 2: Season 3, the Wall of Water generated by the Storm as a revenge against Midas collapsed, inundating the Island. Midas encountered adversity in the form of a Loot Shark during this time. GHOST persisted at The Fortilla, while SHADOW maintained a presence at The Authority, though hostilities between the factions subsided. Despite this, Midas opted to cease operations on the Island, prompting both factions of his Crew to vacate their respective bases.

Chapter 2: Season 4[]

Towards the end of Chapter 2: Season 4, a Midas seeking revenge decided to perform a ritual at The Authority, now known as The Ruins to empower himself with the power of shadows. He reanimated the GHOST Henchmen who died during The Spy War and hacked the reboot system of The Loop to transform anyone who died into Shadows who would join his undead army that he unleashed over the Island. However Midas' plan failed, his ritual was stopped, causing him to lose his powers and he went into hiding.

However, following this, Midas relinquished control of his Crew to Brutus and withdrew from active involvement for reasons unknown. Marigold endeavored to locate him in the aftermath.
