Midas is a minor antagonist in the 2011 action film Real Steel.
Biography[]
Midas is one of the strongest robots and the champion of Crash Palace, an underworld robot boxing arena where there are no rules in fighting.
When Charlie Kenton obtained a new robot, Noisy Boy, he came to Crash Palace looking for a match to earn some money. He was first offered undercards but insisted on fighting the main event, which was Midas. He agreed and they are scheduled to fight later that night.
At the beginning of the fight, Noisy Boy looked to be the better of the two, until Midas' handler managed to get the upper hand and drops Noisy, and began to viciously beat Noisy Boy, using illegal moves. Midas severs Noisy Boy's right hand, hindering its ability to fight. Midas then lands the final blow and decapitates Noisy Boy with an uppercut.
