He was the secondary antagonist in the Season 2 episode "Suspect" of Smallville.
He was portrayed by Eric Keenleyside.
Mike attended Smallville High with Jonathan and Ethan. After graduating, he became a bartender at the Wild Coyote. He was known to serve minors alcohol at his bar the Wild Coyote but didn't lose his license because he was under Ethan's protection.
Sheriff Ethan was tired of being under the thumb of Lionel Luthor and plotted to kill him with the aid of Mike. They both decided to frame Jonathan for the murder.
When Jonathan visited the Wild Coyote after having an argument with Lionel, Mike drugged his beer and when he left, he gave a bottle of tequila to Ethan to make it look as though Jonathan had got drunk and purchased the bottle.
Mike then stated Jonathan was drunk and angrily ranted about causing harm to Lionel and that he had bought the tequila.
When Jonathan was arrested, Sheriff Ethan said that the bartender at the Wild Coyote told him that Jonathan was berating about Lionel Luthor and doing double shots of tequila the previous night before he bought the whole bottle and left.
His blood alcohol level was 2.0 and there was gunpowder residue on his hands. Eyewitnesses at the mansion said they saw Jonathan's truck leaving the mansion after the shots were heard.
Not believing the story or evidence, Jonathan's son Clark and friend Pete went to the Wild Coyote to question Mike. Clark thinks that someone drugged his father here at the bar, but the bartender was no help.
Mike believed Jonathan had tried to kill Lionel, prompting Clark to assault him. Pete told him to calm down and the pair left.
Lana Lang's father Henry Small planned to get Jonathan out on bail by the end of the day, but he can't keep the case from going to trial without poking holes in the testimony of the bartender.
Aware that the pair were suspicious of Mike, Ethan betrayed and killed him in order to cover his tracks. Clark and Pete went back to the Wild Coyote to see what they can find out.
They found Mike dead and his body packed in a freezer, but they also found another clue that gave Clark an idea for laying a trap for the shooter. They discovered that Sheriff Miller was the true culprit.
