Biography[]
Miles, a wealthy casino tycoon, met Hannah McKay when she was working as the owner of a flower shop. Hannah noticed that he was obviously attracted to her but turned down his advances.
After Hannah escapes from prison following her conviction for the murder of Sal Price, she turns to Miles for help. He provides her with the false identity of "Maggie Castner" and they get married. However, Miles soon proves to be a controlling and overbearing husband, using his knowledge of her crimes to make sure she never leaves him and control every aspect of her life. He even has his bodyguards follow her everywhere.
"Dress Code"[]
When Hannah's ex-boyfriend Dexter Morgan learns she is in Miami, he tracks her to the yacht where she and Miles live. He then tails them to the elite Red Coral Club, where Zach Hamilton helps him gain entrance. When Dexter encounters Hannah, she informs him she has married Miles and her name is now Maggie Castner. Miles returns and threateningly tells Dexter he knows all about him before leaving with Hannah. The next day he threatens Dexter again and tells him he would rather see Hannah in prison than leave her.
Hannah and Dexter meet at Hannah's greenhouse, where Hannah explains how Miles controls her life and begs Dexter to kill him. She explains that if she did it herself Miles's family would know it was her and her true identity would be discovered. Miles learns of this conversation and sends thugs to intimidate Dexter and beat him up.
When Hannah returns to the yacht, Miles tells her he knows she met Dexter behind his back. He claims he forgives her, then declares that he will make sure she never leaves him and keep her on his yacht forever and sail round the world with her. As Dexter sneaks on board to kill him, Miles tells Hannah that she "belongs to him" before physically attacking her and trying to rape her. Dexter reaches the bedroom only to find Miles dead, having been stabbed in the neck by Hannah in self-defense. Dexter and Hannah dismember his body and dispose of it in the Gulf Stream.
