Milosz Sulejmani is a major antagonist in the video game Ace Combat: Joint Assault. He was a pilot for the Martinez Security PMC, before defecting to the terrorist organization Valahia. He is obsessed with reward for his job, as he believes it will let him buy back the happiness he lost in his childhood.
He was voiced by Thomas J. Melesky in the English dub and by Ryuji Kamiyama in the Japanese dub.
Biography[]
Past[]
Milosz Sulejmani was born in 1974. As a child, he was sold into slavery by his parents and became a soldier. During this, he became obsessed with the money he received for killing his targets. Eventually, he joined Martinez Security as a fighter pilot, becoming the leader of its Rigel Squadron.
Joint Assault[]
Sulejmani's Rigel Squadron and their fellow Antares Squadron took part in military exercises at Midway Island, only to come under attack by Valahia aircraft. After their attack was repelled, they attacked Tokyo as well. Rigel and Antares squadrons were sent to defend the city from the terrorists. Valahia was forced to retreat, but eventually launched a second assault. During the battle, Sulejmani and his wingmen were contacted by Nicolae Dumitrescu, leader of Valahia, who offered them to join him in exchange for higher wages. Sulejmani and the rest of Rigel agreed, betraying Martinez and leaving the battlefield.
Antares Squadron later encountered Sulejmani and his wingmen, now rechristened "Varcolac Squadron", several times over Adriatic Sea, Serbia and Romania, but always evaded their attacks. Eventually, Sulejmani encountered Antares nearby a nuclear missile silo occupied by Valahia. He was shot down by Martinez pilots, soon after followed by his wingmen, but survived. He met up with Andre Olivieri, revealing that Antares learned of his Golden Axe Plan, and was ordered to destroy them. He and his squadron were incorporated into Olivieri's Golden Axe Plan Private Army and given new GAF-1 aircraft.
Varcolac encountered Antares Squadron one last time during the battle of San Francisco. After all his wingmen were shot down, Sulejmani continued fighting, revealing his backstory in the process and explaining why he was so obsessed with defeating Antares. Despite his efforts, he was ultimately shot down and killed, without even trying to eject.
Personality[]
Sulejmani is an utterly selfish individual, only caring about the reward for his actions rather than what they mean for other people. As he was forced to become a soldier at a very young age, this can be explained by his tough childhood, when he only earned money for killing. Simultaneously, he enjoys taking on powerful opponents and reaping the benefits of defeating scene, which was the reason for his bitter rivalry with Antares.
Sulejmani shows little, if any, care for his wingmen, not even reacting to their deaths.

Trivia[]

- Sulejmani serves as a dark parallel to Antares 1 of sort:
- Both stand out compared to their wingmen: Sulejmani is the only member of Varcolac to appear in a cutscene, while Antares 1 is the only member of Antares to have a certain part of his backstory revealed.
- While both were mercenary pilots, Antares 1 used his skills to fight terrorists and protect the innocents, while Sulejmani betrayed his superiors after the terrorists tempted him with higher wages.
