The Minotaurs are a infamous and feared Loyalist Space Marine Chapter in Warhammer 40k. One of the most brutal and ferocious Astartes Chapters, they boast exceptional might even for Space Marines, and while they are loyal to the Imperium, they serve only the will of the Highlords of Terra which has lead to them having heavily fractured relations with not only other Chapters but the Imperium as a whole. Ruthless and generally holding anyone that isn't The Emperor or the Highlords in absolute contempt, they are one of the most hostile Loyalist forces and have unbridled xenophobia that can at times rival the Black Templars.

Born from the dreaded Cursed Foundnig, the Minotaurs are one of the most powerful of the Astartes Chapters, leaving untold bloodshed and devastation in their wake. Their gene-seed "defect" is their explosive, near psychotic levels of hatred for Xenos and their nigh uncontrollable barbarism. Despite their immense power, they are scarcely seen, as unique to their Chapter they solely serve the will of the Highlords of Terra, whom they serve with unquestioning and unflinching fanaticism. This has lead to some considering them the Highlords lapdogs, as they will equally complete a mission for the good of mankind as a mission that serves virtually no purpose other than the Highlords selfish whims. They are one of the few Chapters who specifically specialize in Astartes VS Astartes combat, and are usually sent in to destroy renegade Marines or Chaos Space Marines, which they do with ease. Their devotion to the Highlords and vast power has also lead to them being extremely arrogant and apathetic towards all other lifeforms, and they are notorious for being extremely difficult to work with, having openly hostile rivalries with others, especially the Imperial Fists. Their contempt for everyone even extends to the Minotaurs wholly willing to combat the Custodes, unbothered by the fact that they are the Emperor's will made manifest.
For all their faults, they still remain ultra elite defenders of humanity, and genuinely enjoy testing their might against stronger foes.
