Biography[]
Early Life[]
Miranda was born on 1982 in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. She was adopted by a family in Srebrenica. When the Yugoslav Wars broke out, she was exposed to the horrors of war, including the Srebrenica massacre, which involved the genocide of 8,000+ Bosnian Muslim males. These men and boys were often buried in mass graves during this event. Faced with these extremely traumatising sights, Miranda went insane and began to have psychotic breaks whenever she was reminded of the war. This led to the deaths of a woman and her child in Croatia, committed when she was 16, and and a family in Italy. She eventually immigrated to the US and got a job working for a photograph development company called PhotoBug. She would go on to exploit this position to find families to kill when she had another psychotic break brought on by airplane practice for the Langley air show in Virginia.
"Outfoxed"[]
Miranda, suffering yet another psychotic break as a result of the extensive airplane practice for the Langly 50th anniversary air show, tracks down and kills the Downey military family, murdering the mother and her three children. When the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) is called to investigate the scene, they learn from Technical Analyst Penelope Garcia that Karl Arnold, a serial killer whom they had caught four years earlier, has received newspaper clippings in a letter from an "admirer" about the murders, claiming credit for them.
While BAU Agents Aaron Hotchner and Emily Prentiss talk with Arnold in Red Onion State Prison to learn more, Miranda suffers yet another psychotic break caused by more airshow practice and sets out to kill more victims. This time, she targets the Forester family, first holding their daughter hostage, then murdering her and the rest of the family.
After interviewing Arnold, Hotchner and Prentiss soon realize the admirer that sent him the newspaper clippings has nothing to do with the family murders, and the the perpetrator is a woman. The rest of the team finds that all of the families had used the same company to print their family photos, and also uncover that the killer's fingerprints were present at two other family murders in Italy and Croatia. Examining the company's employee list, they find Miranda's name and head to her residence, where they find the identity of her next targets, the Young family. The team then races to their residence to stop her.
Upon arriving at the house, the team sees that Miranda is already there, and Agent Derek Morgan searches each room for the family. After he sees the family being held hostage, Miranda ambushes him and tackles him to the ground. After a lengthy struggle, Morgan finally manages to shoot Miranda in the stomach, killing her.
