Evan McCulloch better known as the Mirror Master is an major antagonist in the 2021 film Injustice, which is based on the game of the same name. He is a Scottish supervillain and mercenary known for kidnapping Jonathan Kent, the adoptive father of Superman, on the orders of the US President in response to Superman's intervention in the US government's operations.
He was voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who also voiced Sasuke Uchiha in the Naruto franchise.
Biography[]
Following the destruction of Metropolis and the death of Lois Lane at the hands of the Joker, Superman sought to enforce global peace, not even hesitating to use brute force if necessary. However, this got him into conflict with the US government; Concerned that Superman will interfere in their military operations, after he thwarted an attempted assassination on an unnamed terrorist, the government abused its power by hiring Mirror Master and his team of mercenaries to Kidnap Jonathan Kent to use as leverage against Superman on the president's orders.
Mirror Master and his mercenary team intrudes on the Kent Family's farm and arrested Jonathan, who tried to fight back but was violently subdued. After giving out the order for the house to be burned down, Mirror Master used his powers to allow his team to travel into the Mirror Dimension with the now-captive Jonathan and to an undisclosed location. When Superman arrived too late to rescue his adoptive-father, Mirror Master orders him to stop interfering with governmental operations lest he'll never see his father again or rather let the US government send him back to him in pieces.
After word of Jonathan's kidnapping reaches Superman's allies, they tracked Mirror Master down to The World's End bar. Upon being spotted, he taunts them by giving them a wave. Wonder Woman attempts to forcefully interrogate him only for Mirror Master to phase into a mirror and mockingly tell her to leave. Unfazed, she orders him to surrender, warning him that there is no place for him to hide. He initially thought she was bluffing until Raven unexpectedly appeared from behind and forced him halfway out of the mirror. Wonder Woman ties her Lasso of Truth around his neck and threatens to break the mirror with half of his body out and Mirror Master protested that he was only following orders. When demanded on Jonathan Kent's whereabouts, he was forced to reveal that the latter is being held in Salar De Uyuni in Bolivia. After being spared and forced out of the mirror, Wonder Woman orders him to take off his clothes, much to his confusion. With the information gotten out of Mirror Master, this allowed Superman to rescue Jonathan.
