Mister VTR is a minor antagonist in the anime/manga series Kinnikuman.
He is the Second Guard of Team Mariposa who is led by Kinnikuman Mariposa, one of the Five Fated Princes who act as the main antagonist force in the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc.
Biography[]
Kinnikuman[]
Mister VTR is first introduced in the series during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc as a member of Team Mariposa, acting as the Second Guard of the team after Kinnikuman Mariposa hired him to be a member of the team. Mister VTR joined so he could be noticed by the Five Evil Gods for his power instead of just being a soldier.
During the first round, Team Mariposa would have to fight against Team Kinnikuman. Mister VTR would disguise himself as the cameras to watch and study Kinnikuman's techniques as he fights The Hawkman. After Kinnikuman won, Mister VTR would form and challenge Kinnikuman next, thinking that his knowledge of Kinnikuman's fighting style would allow him to win.
When the round started, Kinnikuman ran laps around Mister VTR but he would press the stop button on his body to freeze Kinnikuman in place and began to kick and slam Kinnikuman around before unpausing Kinnikuman, thinking it would be boring to beat someone who can't fight back.
Mister VTR would then slot in a picture of an ocean onto a picture of Kinnikuman, making an ocean appear around the two of them. Mister VTR would grab Kinnikuman and throw him into the raging ocean to drown him, he would then place a picture of whirlpools into his body so Kinnikuman would be torn apart by them. Kinnikuman would escape by pulling a broken piece of wood and surf it back into the ring.
Kinnikuman would put Mister VTR into a headlock and jump with him into the ocean but Mister VTR would change the scenery into an icy tundra, making Kinnikuman slam his head against rock solid ice. Mister VTR would then shrink Kinnikuman to the size of his leg and kick him out of the ring. Just as Mister VTR was about to shrink Kinnikuman even further, he would grab a reflective shard of ice which made Mister VTR shrink himself. Mister VTR would quickly reverse the shrinking effects on both of them before changing the scenery to a volcano.
The volcano would spew lava onto Kinnikuman, however, he would get back up and perform his Neo Kinniku Buster on Mister VTR, flying out of the ring and out of the range of Mister VTR's scenery change. At this point, the ring would turn back to normal and Kinnikuman would do a choke slam on Mister VTR, critically injuring him and winning Kinnikuman the match.
With his breath, Mister VTR would watch as Mixer Taitei fought Kinnikuman. Mister VTR would use his future predicting camera to print out the film of Kinnikuman winning and removing it, making Mixer Taitei win the match with Mister VTR dying so afterwards.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin, Mister VTR has superhuman strength, speed and durability. Other abilities that Chojin have that Mister VTR likely has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
- Action Stop: After recording an opponent and pressing the pause button on his body, the opponent is rendered completely frozen as if time had stopped.
- Scene Change Monitor: By placing a picture into his body and overlapping it over a picture of the opponent, Mister VTR will completely change the scenery around the opponent. Mister VTR has done this to make an ocean, icy tundra and a volcano appear in the arena. The new scenery only affects Mister VTR and his opponent.
- Zoom Out: By zooming out with the camera on his head, Mister VTR is able to shrink anyone he sees in front of him.
- Predicting Camera: By recording a fight, Mister VTR is able to print out a film reel which will show the future. If Mister VTR dislikes the future in the film reel, he can manually edit the film by cutting it which makes it so whatever the future would be will no longer happen.
Trivia[]
- In the anime, just like everyone else who died during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc, Mister VTR was revived by Kinnikuman, unlike the manga where he stayed dead.
