Mister X (Lupin III) is a minor antagonist from Lupin III: Part II also known as the Red Jacket series. He is the main antagonist of the episodes The Dashing Entrance of Lupin III and Lupin's Enemy is Lupin.
The Dashing Entrance of Lupin III[]
Lupin and company arrive on the ship Sirloin with false invitations sent by someone. Zenigata also found no watermark on the paper he had when he came to arrest Lupin. Suddnenly, they notice the ceiling get lower leading to the five dodging it with several people getting crushed. Mr. X muses points out that there will be more traps that will escalate on the boat such as a snake that kills a man even when Jigen shot its head off, a woman who would supposedly massage Goemon being switched out with a man who would have crushed him to death, and sharks in the pool.
When having dinner, they realise that Mr. X was behind the series of events that have been happening in preparation for a huge massacre. When Lupin meets X again, X reminds him of the events that took place at the race track that lead to Mr. X being rebuilt as a superhuman.
Lupin laments that Mr. X wasted so much money to kill one person like Lupin himself. X tells him that he does not need to gain something from killing Lupin even if he goes penniless.
Mr. X proceeds to bend a girder and bust a block of cement to demonstrate his new power level. The fight X is placing them a battle against himself to demonstrate his new power by overpowering Goemon and Jigen.
Lupin and Fujik proceed to crash the cars to trigger a fire which leads to the sprinkler system starting up. Once all four of the thieves were out of the water, Lupin shoots an electric device to electricute the roboticized Mr. X who tries to take everyone onboard with him by triggering a self-destruct mechanism.
The main four however manage to escape onto a raft. A seemingly dead Zenigata shows up alive on a turtle.
Lupin's Enemy is Lupin[]
After a cake filled with a gas was used to incapicitate everyone in the Cocodad Kingdom to capture Yasmin, the princess of the country. The army marches to try and get her back leading to them being overpowered by the faction that kidnapped her and forcing the survivors to retreat. Lupin was contracted to save the princess from the kidnapping faction.
When Lupin and company were eating curry, an earthquake occurs and a camera is activated to reveal that Mr. X, who survived his death on the boat, was the kidnapper responsible for the events of the episode and asks Lupin how he would save the princess whom he torments with an octopus that rips off her clothes.
After Lupin and his male friends outsmart the defense mechanism Mr. X planted, they proceed to Mr. X's base to find the princess. After surving another trap, they get confronted by robotic clones of Yasmin that Goemon incapicitates. After Goemon manages to cut through a rolled up rug trap, they find themselves falling down a trap door and attacked by flyng books an a mounted elephant.
Lupin comes across a banner with two scorpions which turns out to be a film of the second encounter with Mister X. Mister X then provides Lupin a pair of swords he calls water sabers. Mister X disguises himself as Lupin and challenges him one on one.
Jigen arrives and shoots the fake Lupin who honors his pre-fight promise by releasing the princess.
