Misty Tredwell is one of the primary antagonists in the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds and a minor character in the subsiquent seasons. She is a world famous supermodel who is revealed to be one of the Dark Signers.
She became best friends of Carly Carmine in their first encounter. She is the archnemesis of (falsely) Akiza Izinski and (truly) Sayer (who is the mastermind of the death of her younger brother, Tobi Tredwell and framed Akiza for the murder as well indirectly responsible of Misty's death (before reborn as a Dark Signer)).
She was voiced by Junko Minagawa in Japanese and Carrie Keranen in English.

Misty's brother, Tobey, after watching Akiza duel, wished to join the Arcadia Movement, but Misty disapproved, having heard bad things about the organization, but Tobey attempted to join anyway and went missing shortly afterwards, later Tobey's body was found and Misty believed it had been Akiza who killed him. Misty was overwhelemed with shock and grief, however when she was driving, she lost control of her car, causing her to crash into the ocean. Misty was rushed to hospital, but succumbed to her injuries and died, after which she was ressurrected by the Netherworld King into a Dark Signer.
Season 1[]
Misty first appears at the premiere for Atlas Rising, it is here she meets Carly Carmine, and she tells her fortune to her. Later Carly approaches Misty again when she begins to investigate the Arcadia Movement and Misty tells her the story of her brother. After Carly is killed by Sayer and ressurrected as a Dark Signer, she challenges Sayer to a rematch. Meanwhile Akiza attempts to go to Sayer's office but is stopped by Misty, who reveals herself as a Dark Signer and locks Akiza into a duel. As the two Dark Signers summon their Earthbound Immortals, the building becomes unstable, and although Carly defeats Sayer, Misty must end her duel early when the building begins to crumble. Carly and Misty are transported to a nearby building where Carly wakes up and is confused by her changes in appearance, Misty explains what happened to her and comforts her when she breaks down into tears in disbelief, later the two are transported to Satellite. Misty appears with the rest of the Dark Signers at their base and after Roman Goodwin uses Rally Dawson to duel Yusei. Misty is the final Dark Signer to be defeated before Rex Goodwin, Misty stays at the boardwalk where she is confronted by Akiza. Misty tells her the entire story of why she hates her due to her thinking she was responsible for her brother's death. However Yusei finds out the truth and attempts to tell Misty, but he is attacked by Sayer and tricks him into confessing while he broadcasts it to Misty who, enraged, uses her Earthbound Immortal to destroy Sayer, as Akiza goes on to win the duel and Misty fades away. Misty along with most of the Dark Signers was ressurrected after Rex's defeat, where she promptly returned to her modeling job, and advertisements featuring her can be seen in the background during Season 2 as well as being a pen pal to Akiza.
Deck[]
As a Dark Signer, Misty plays a "Reptillianne" deck, which focuses on draining the ATK of her opponent's monsters to 0. She also make use of several Continuous Spells, most notably the "Sad Story" cards that support her "Dragon Queen of Tragic Endings" and lock her opponent down. Her signature card is her "Eartbound Immortal Ccaryahua".
