~ Mitch right before killing Evan. |
The Ghost also known as Mitch is the secondary antagonist of the 2019 slasher film Haunt.
He is a member of a group of killers and his main objective is to get his new face finished and to indulge in his sick vices.
He was played by Chaney Morrow.
History[]
Mitch's past is left unexplored outside of at some point he found a group of similar individuals obsessed with monsters, these people offered to help alter his face into any choice of monster based off Halloween masks but in order for this to happen he'd have to participate in murdering anyone who enters their haunted house during Halloween something Mitch gladly did. It is unclear of how many of these killings Mitch participated in but evidently it was at least one based off how modified his face underneath the mask. As a group consisting of young adults named Harper, Mallory, Bailey, Angela, Nathan and Evan notice him in a locker Mitch quickly pretends to be an unwilling pawn. As they prove skeptical, Mitch unlocks the a door his keys trying to earn their trust and grows annoyed when Evan is getting more hostile with him and his demand to remove his mask. As he leads them on a wild goose case he points outs the air vents are rigged to only hold one person at a time, if more try they will fall through a trap door. As the groups gets more and more desperate, they use one of the air vents with Evan saying he will go first and that he wants Mitch to follow after followed by Nathan and then the others even giving Harper his keeps. Once Mitch gets through he quicly boards off the shaft, ensuring he could attack Evan while his guard is down. Before killing Evan, Mitch asks if he's still curious about his face while admitting it's not done and when he does kill Evan, he decides to use his claw hammer to ripe his face off.
Upon going into the haunted house, Mitch having put his mask back on goes to the main office only to find Nathan hiding. Pretending to leave, Mitch waits for Nathan to come out and once he sees that he was able to get a cellphone back attacks him only for Nathan to flee. After The Clown damages their vehicle to ensure they don't escape, Mitch asks a caputered and mask Bailey to go to the escape room, this leads her to being stabbed by Harper who mistakes her for a killer. As Harper mourns her friend and is about to be rescued by Nathan, Mitch tackles Nathan and beats him. Before he can deliver the final blow tauntingly asks Nathan if he wants to know his name only to be knocked out from a blow caused by Harper from behind. Mitch's fate is unclear as after being knocked out he isn't seen again as while it is possible he regained consciousness in time to flee it is also possible he was killed in the fire that The Clown created to destroy any evidence.
Appearance[]
Mitch's costume consists of a white robe and a white mask resembling an old-fashioned ghost with yellow highlights. Upon removing his mask Mitch reveals he has made his skin chalk white skin with only some strands of hair, seemingly missing nose, black lips and nearly sunken in eyes.
Personality[]
Mitch is shown to be arguably the most manipulative of the group, realizing how badly outnumbered he is, he convinces a group of potential victims he was completely unaware of what was going on and offers them advice. While seemingly friendly this is very quickly proven to be a facade, tyring to get them separated to kill them and when done ripe off their faces.
Trivia[]
- While he says his name is Mitch it is unclear if this is his actual name and implied to be fake given he asks Nathan if he is still curious on his name as he tries to kill him. The credits even seemingly reinforce it as it simpy calls him "Ghost".
