~ Nevins' last lines and refusal of a deal, voicing his anarchism |
Mitch Nevins is the supporting antagonist of the Criminal Minds: Evolution episode "Oedipus Wrecks". Nevins is the personal assistant and criminal accomplice of serial killer and senator's son Benjamin Reeves.
Biography[]
Nevins, whose background was never specified, was indoctrinated into the Reeves family's routines by playing on his anarchism. From there, he actively assisted in Reeves raping and killing women resembling his mother, Senator Martha Reeves. Nevins secured the date rape drugs, took the women's phones to turn them off when they met Reeves, and assisted in removing their bodies. He also bribed and harassed Jessica Sayer, an escort Reeves violently raped, into silence even before the police questioned her. By the time the police closed in on Reeves, Nevins informed him, so Reeves told him to do something about it. Nevins left falsely incriminating evidence in his own car, went to the FBI, and implied he was the killer without confessing. When they told him they knew Reeves was responsible, Nevins demanded a lawyer. Reeves was arrested when attempting to kill Jessica, but Senator Reeves got his release by threatening the bureau. Nevins refused a deal and believed the family would bail him out, but they left him to be incarcerated.
