Miu Iruma is a major character in the video game Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. She has the title of the Ultimate Inventor. While she serves as a helpful albeit rude character for the first three chapters, she descends into villainy as she tries to kill Kokichi in the fourth chapter, only to be killed by Gonta Gokuhara. However, despite her death, she has a posthumous impact for the rest of the game, with her inventions proving essential to the fifth chapter.
History
Past
Miu Iruma was originally a normal high school student who was a fan of the immensely popular Danganronpa series. She would one day audition to be in the series, whether this was for monetary gain, fame or to be one of the characters in the series is unknown.
She would be chosen along with fifteen other high school students and would be kidnapped before being taken to the Ultimate Academy. While there, she and the rest of the students would encounter the Monokuma Kubs who would give them a makeover and new memories, turning Miu from an ordinary high school student into the Ultimate Inventor.
Fake Past
As a part of her new memories, Miu would be given a fake past. In her new past, Miu would be a normal girl who was put into a coma because of a car accident. When Miu woke up, her mind was different, allowing her to invent incredibly advanced machinery with ease such as Eye Drop Contact Lenses, an incredibly popular and well-acclaimed product that Miu sold the rights to because she didn't care about them.
Her talent would be recognized by Hope's Peak Academy, a famous school that Miu would enroll in. Miu would live a happy life there until the meteors would rain from the sky and spread a virus that only Miu and her classmates were immune to. As a last-ditch attempt to save humanity, Miu and her classmates would be put onto a spaceship and sent into space. Little did any of them know that there was someone who wished to start a killing game, they would remove Miu's memories of her time at Hope's Peak Academy as well as her knowledge of the meteors and virus so that she would want to escape.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony
Miu would wake up in the Ultimate Academy, confused as to where she was or how she got there. Soon, she and the rest of the students would come face to face with the Monokuma Kubs and Monokuma who would inform everyone that they were trapped in the Ultimate Academy and the only way to escape would be to kill someone and not be caught during the class trial which would result in everyone else being executed.
Miu would spend most of the game acting as a nuisance to everyone around her, annoying everyone with her crude jokes and generally unpleasant personality.
It wasn't until Chapter 4 that Miu would hatch her own plan to kill someone and escape. Miu would plan to use the digital Neo World Program as her tool, tricking everyone into thinking that she had removed all weapons and that no one could be harmed while they explored.
Miu planned to kill Kokichi Oma and frame the murder on Kaito Momota by manually logging him out of the Neo World Program to make it look like he kill Kokichi in the real world with the poison she placed next to Kokichi's body. Before Miu could kill Kokichi, Gonta would sneak up behind Miu and strangle her to death with some toilet paper which wouldn't break because of the Neo World Program. Dying in the Neo World Program would also kill Miu in the real world.

- Miu's English voice actress in the game, Wendee Lee also voiced Akane Owari in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.
