Miyamoto Musashi is a minor antagonist in the anime version of Ranma ½. He is a fictionalized version of the Japanese swordsman, strategist, artist and writer of the same name. His soul, trapped in his sword, possessed Tatewaki Kuno and began attacking anyone in Furinkan High School.

Biography

The sword where Miyamoto Musashi's soul is

Sometime in the past, a kendo master stole many valuable objects and with the money bought the sword created by the legendary Miyamoto Musashi, leaving it in the attic of the present Kendo club. The sword was found by Sasuke Sarugakure, who gave it to his master, Kuno. Then, the soul of Miyamoto Musashi possessed him and began attacking anyone who were in the Furinkan High at night.

One week later, the rumors about a ghost was lurking in the school made a group of people, including Ranma, Akane, Ukyo, Soun, Genma and Happosai to go to the school at night to investigate. That night Musashi attacked most of the people, leaving them injured. Then, while confronting Ranma, Akane and Ukyo, Sasuke stops them, finding out that the ghost is Kuno, then they run away and Sasuke explains everything that happened to the group. When Musashi appears again, he sees Akane and mistakes her with Otsu, the woman that he loved but lost during his life. Musashi comes to her, but Akane kicks him, then, a lightning strikes on him, destroying the sword and releasing Kuno from his control.
