Modoki is an artificial human created by the Super Science Network and an antagonist in episode 24 of Tokusou Robo Janperson.
He is portrayed by Kou Domon.
Biography[]
Modoki was created Doctor Inuyama to be an artificial human who perfectly resembled a real one. After presenting his creation to Reiko Ayanokouji, Inuyama sent Modoki out to fight Janperson. Modoki fired off his gun in a crowd in order to draw Janperson out and attacked him as soon as he arrived. However, after Janperson confused him for a human, Modoki suffered an existential crisis and exited the scene. As he was fleeing, Modoki inadvertently saved a woman who had tried to commit suicide, and brought her to an abandoned warehouse where she would be safe. Modoki then went to ask Inuyama if he was a human or a monster, to which Inuyama stated that Modoki was not a true human and cut open his arm to show him he was different. Despite this, Modoki refused to keep serving the SS-N and escaped the SS-N building.
As Modoki began spending time with the woman he had saved, Inuyama and his goons targeted her in order to force Modoki to return to SS-N. However, Janperson and Kaoru were able to fool Inuyama by creating a fake Modoki and having Janperson destroy it. Believing Modoki to be dead, Inuyama returned to the SS-N base in failure. With the SS-N believing he was dead, Modoki was able to continue living a happy life in peace.
