Moe Hubbard is the main antagonists of the Chicago P.D. episode "Burnside".

He was portrayed by Donovan Christie Jr.

Biography

Past

As mentioned by Intelligence, Hubbard has a notorious reputation in drug dealing, manslaughter, and assault starting from the 90's into his debut. However, he evaded prison because the charges never stuck with concrete evidence and he stayed under the radar as a gang leader by creating a respected public image when opening a record studio to help troubled teens find an honest path. Unknown to anyone, his benevolence was merely a façade and he used his recording sessions to recruit thugs into his gang and brought out their true talent in crime. Once they were selected, he instilled a doctrine of being ruthless and putting fear in them to never disobey him.

Two days before the events of the episode, he was confronted by Anthony Wiggins, a rival gangster who had reformed. Higgins called Hubbard on being disease that plagued the streets because young men have fallen prey to his influence, leading to a heated exchange that was recorded by spectators. Feeling disrespected, Hubbard sought revenge and with the post on social media, he put the task in the hands of his latest recruits Eric Boyle and Lewis Dotson.

"Burnside"

Eric and Lewis had proceeded to find Wiggins at a drive-thru, where they opened fire on him and killed him, though their reckless actions resulted in many civilians getting caught in the crossfire. The duo fled the scene and CPD Intelligence investigated the carnage and realized Wiggins was targeted after running his history as a gangster. Soon they found the confrontation between him and Hubbard, deciding to pay him a visit.

Soon Intelligence and found Lewis' gun had modifications on it, discovering partial fingerprints and match it to Hubbard. They soon confront Hubbard who believes they have nothing to incriminate him and states they can try to bluff him into talking but it won't work. However, he was confused by Voight saying they don't need a confession because they have everything and he leaves Kevin to explain it while remarking he'd see him around. Left with Kevin, the latter explains how they discover the link to him and the crime by revealing how Hubbard's fingerprints were found on the muzzles belonging to Eric and Lewis. Faced with the incriminating evidence, Hubbard fell silent and angry while Kevin stated he hopes he enjoys Stateville prison.

Hubbard is then imprisoned for life.
