Moff Raythe is a minor character in the 2017 video game Star Wars Battlefront II, appearing in two missions.
Biography[]
Raythe was a Moff in the Galactic Empire, and the commander of the Star Destroyer Dauntless. He was involved in the Empire's defence of the Second Death Star, and set a trap for the Rebel Alliance at their base at Sullust. The Rebel ship the Invincible Faith intercepted a message from Raythe informing the fleet of the trap, but commander Iden Versio deleted it before they could view it.
Following the Death Star's destruction and Emperor Palpatine's apparent death, Raythe was sent to Fondor to procure satellites for Operation: Cinder, a world-destroying operation initiated by the emperor via a Sentinel droid. However, while docking Raythe was suddenly attacked by the rebels. Unable to take off due to the docking arm, Raythe was fired on by a rebel Star Cruiser until Iden and Gideon Hask were able to disable it. Raythe then ordered Iden to attack the Imperial docking facility, destroying the docking arm and enabling him to take off and destroy the cruiser before escaping.
Raythe then proceeded to Vardos, where he gave the satellites to Admiral Garrick Versio before watching from the Dauntless as Garrick deployed the satellites, destroying Vardos.
