Mog is a minor antagonist in the 2002 film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. He is an Uruk-hai General who commanded the Uruk-hai force attacking Helm's Deep.
He was portrayed by Sala Baker.
Biography[]
Mog was one of the first Uruk-hai to be born in Isengard. He spent long periods of time studying the tactics of war and personally overseeing the training of Uruk-Hai soldiers.
After Saruman learned that the people of Rohan were taking refuge in Helms Deep, Saruman summoned Mog and gave him command over an army of 10,000 Uruk-Hai to wipe out the refugees and their defenders. After a speech from Saruman, Mog and his troops marched to Helms Deep.
Having arrived, Mog got to a high vantage point and commanded his troops to halt battle planning. He then commanded them to intimidate their foes, which they did with loud clanking, cheering, and roars. A Rohan Archer accidentally shot an Uruk troop named Daskila. Infuriated, Mog commanded his troops to begin the attack.
His troops made the enemy retreat into the fort, and victory was nearly in Mog's grasp. Suddenly, Gandalf had come to aid with an army of Rohirrim Riders and completely wiped out Mog's forces, as well as killing him as well.
Trivia[]
