Mogari is a stone samurai-like warrior created to guard the village of the Kubitani and an antagonist in episode 6 of GoGo Sentai Boukenger.

He is voiced by Katsumi Shiono, who also voiced the Karths in the same series, as well as the Magerappa in Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger, the Rinshi in Juken Sentai Gekiranger, the Barbaric Machine Soldiers Ugatz in Engine Sentai Go-onger and the Nanashi Company in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger.

History[]

Mogari was originally created by the people of the Kubitani to guard their village. He would attack anyone splashed with the water held in a clay flask called the Kubi.

After the Kubitani faded into history, Arch Priest Gajah of the Gordom Civilization entered the ruins of their village searching for the Kubi. When the Boukengers also entered the village to investigate a series of strange events that had occurred around it, Gajah began splashing each of them one-by-one with the Kubi's water in order to get Mogari to attack them. Although Mogari's armor was dense, Chief was able to create a weak spot in his shoulder by dropping down his lance onto it, which Souta and Masumi targeted with their weapons in order to destroy him. However, Gajah then revealed that the Mogari they had fought was really a "switch" for the "true" Mogari, an identical giant. The Boukengers formed DaiBouken to fight Mogari and destroyed him using GoGo Drill and Shovel to perform the Rising Penetration Attack.

Personality[]

Mogari didn't show much of a personality, only speaking in roars and grunts, but he was shown to act like a typical guardian and was shown to be loyal to his mission of protecting and guarding the village and was willing to attack anyone who would splash the Kubi's water. He was also determined and will stop at nothing to defeat and take down Boukengers. However, he was also shown to be quite not intelligent not smart enough to not reveal to Boukengers his weakness the weak spot in his shoulder and was eventually defeated.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Abduction: He can abduct people by enshrouding them in a thick fog and bringing them to his domain.
  • Strength: Mogari possesses enormous deal of physical strength to fight the Boukengers.
  • Skilled Fighter: He is also a capable and formidable fighter, able to combat several Boukengers at once.
  • Stone Armor: He possesses a powerful stone armor, that is capable of withstanding the hits and attacks of Boukengers's weapons.

Arsenal[]

  • Unnamed Sword: He wields an unnamed broadsword as his primary weapon.

Trivia[]

  • Mogari's appearance is a reference to Battle Fever Robo from Battle Fever J. His method of enlargement by summoning a bigger copy of himself is also a reference to the way the Egos Monsters were enlarged in the same show.
  • Mogari was the first monster in Boukenger to not have any villainous affiliation with any of the Negative Syndicates, as it acted upon its own volition to retrieve the head he was created to look after.
