Mogenar is a major antagonist and a boss in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
It was one of the several Mogenar-class War Golems that was in service to the Last Lord of Science to protect him in a last attempt to give him time to restore planet before shutting down following an accident with the Fuel Gel. After the Leviathan impact on the planet, Monegar was chosen to become its Guardian and corrupted to help the Leviathan's seed to spread the corruption on Brryo.

Past[]
Following the war between two Reptilicus factions the Lords of Science and the Primals, Mogenar was one of the several Golems that were created by the Last Lord of Science with combination of both science and magic to protect him. For the following years, Mogenar fought alongside its fellow Golems against the Primals who are determinated to find and kill the remaining scientist following their rivalry and the incident that affected the planet. That is until fuel gel supply undergoes a malfunction that exploded, bringing a consequence that resulted to Mogenar and the other Golems to shut down and attracting the Primals to the Last Lord of Science's location. Without protection from the Golems, the Last Lord of Science was found and murdered by the Primals but not before he left a final message of a warning of a Leviathan to impact the planet.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption[]
As time have passed and the Primals now in a war against each other, the Leviathan, summoned by Dark Samus using Aurora Unit 313 to remotely summon each one from Phaaze, impacts on the planet where Mogenar was then corrupted and brought to the Leviathan. From there, Mogenar fully succumbed to the Phazon Fever and turned against the Reptilicus race by influencing the spread of Phazon across the planet to have the apocalyptic era worse. In the result, several descendents of the now disbanded Primals became exposed and corrupted by Phazon to be even more hostile and aggressive than their uncorrupted counterparts to the state of insanity. What is worst is that Mogenar gave the Space Pirates the advantage to establish their bases on the planet and use shield generators to project a shield to keep the Leviathan safe and later under command of the corrupted hunter Rundas.
That is until Samus arrives to the planet, defeating Rundas and destroying the Space Pirate defenses and the shield generators to make her way into the Bryyo Leviathan and meets the guardian of the seed. Soon, Mogenar awakens being empowered by orbs made of Phazon as an alternate energy source to keep it alive and the battle commences. During his battle, Mogenar will uses its abilities to fight Samus while trying to keep its orbs safe from the hunter. Samus proceeds to shoot at the orbs to destroy their shells and use Hypermode to shoot at the Phazon energy exposing them. Once the orbs are destroyed, Mogenar will summon a pair of phazite boots as its foot gear to attack Samus, though she will use her Morph Ball to ser out bombs to destroy the boots, leading to the Golem to regenerate for the battle to repeat a couple of more times until Mogenar is defeated. During its defeat, Mogenar exploded to a radiation of Phazon that caused Samus's corruption rate to twenty-five percent, though it also left behind a Hyper Ball as a reward and left the seed defenseless to be exposed and killed by Samus, destroying the Bryyo Leviathan and ridding the planet of its corruption.
Trivia[]
- While not as difficult as both the Boost Guardian and the Spider Guardian, Mogenar is considered to be one of the most difficult bosses for the player to fight.
