Excavation Ninja Mogudrago is a robotic mole-themed Chunin at the service of Jakanja and is the main antagonist in episode 4 of the 2002 TV series called Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger. He is the member of Sargain's Ninja Corps and was tasked by his master Tau Zant to dig up the Jakanja subway in order to destroy Tokyo and defeat the Hurricanegers.
He is voiced by Kentarō Itō who later voiced a Manhole Banki from Go-Onger, Toome from Kyuranger and both the Invisible World and the Great Invisible World from Zenkaiger.
History[]
Mogudrago made his first appearance as he tunnel out of the earth as he thought this place was better to dig than he thought that is until he was sneaked attack by the Hurricaneger, so he used his Space Ninja ability to dig under the team and sneaked attack them and he can easily out match the land ninja. However when they're about to use the triple gadget to finish Mogudrago off both Yousuke and Kouta were fighting amongst themselves so Mogudrago used his technique and escape.
A while later Mogudrago is still tunneling underground as he tunneled underneath a hospital when he ever come across with an obstacle he easily destroyed which caused problems on the surface. He then arrived at the quarry and was taking a break, but the two ninjas arrived and battle Mogudrago. During the battle Mogudrago were giving the two ninjas a hard time as he kept sneak attacking them and deflect their attacks. However when Kouta arrived he used his hammer and send the Mogudrago out of the ground as he receives a beating from the land ninja. He then used his technique in order to sneak attack Kouta, but with Yousuke and Nanami's help this battle turns to a game of Whack-A-Mole. After that he was then defeated by this finisher called Quake Down.
However Wendinu brought out the Copy Giant as it transformed into the defeated Mogudrago so the team were left with no choice, but to bring out Senpuujin and battle him. However there's one problem Mogudrago used his technique and sneak attack the Megazord. However they then brought out the Goat Crusher and pounded on the ground to bring Mogudrago out of the ground. After that he was then destroyed by this finisher called Ultimate Technique: Grand Hurricane Slam.
Personality[]
Mogudrago was a cunning, unrelenting, arrogant and hard-working Jakanja monster, who will not stop at his mission to dig up the subway tunnel for Jakanja in order to destroy Tokyo. He was quite stubborn, hard-working and determined to finish his mission and behaved like a construction worker. Mogudrago enjoyed digging under the ground and enjoyed causing havoc in the city. He was also highly deceptive and intelligent and enjoyed toying around with Hurricanegers while fighting them. Just like many other monsters in Sentai universe, Mogudrago's arrogance was his primary weakness which led to his defeat at the hands of Rangers. Also just like practically all monster ninjas of Jakanja, Mogudrago was highly loyal to his master Tau Zant and loyally followed his orders.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Forehead Lightning Beams: Mogudrago can fire yellow lightning beams from his forehead.
- Superhuman Strength: Despite being one of the early monsters, Mogudrago is powerful enough to overpower all three Ninja Rangers in the first battle.
- Burrowing: Being a mole-type monster, Mogudrago can burrow underground at high speed and can do sneak attacks on his enemies.
- Earthquake: Also while digging, he can cause a massive earthquake.

- He was portrayed by suit actor Kōji Mimura.
- His design is a combination of a mole and drill. He also wears a jinkasa, a type of hat worn by samurai.
- His name is a portmanteau of "mogura" (mole) and "dragon", creating a pun as the kanji for mogura, "土竜", can be read as "soil dragon".
