Mokko is a minor antagonist in the Star Wars franchise, serving as the main antagonist of the Star Wars: The Bad Batch episode "Retrieval".
He is the owner of the ipsium mine on the desert planet of Ipsidon where he manipulated a group of young miners to mine ipsium for him, in which he would reward the "top earner" with a minimal portion of food whilst keeping the rest to himself, starving the rest of the miners.
He was voiced by Jonathan Lipow.
Personality[]
A greedy individual, Mokko lied to his miners that the ipsium was degrading so that he could cut their profits and keep more to himself. Being a cold-hearted and manipulative man, Mokko used a “ration system” where he would control the amount of food given to the miners as a way to make them mine for him, at the same time having them work in poor conditions, and keeping most of the food all to himself. He was also hypocritical when he provided an unjustifiable excuse that none of the miners would have survived if he did not cut their profits, which he could have used to improve their living and working conditions, as well as to buy more food for them.
Once his true colors were exposed to the other miners, Mokko became desperate and wrathful by attempting to kill the Bad Batch, particularly Omega, who was only a child, by dropping her down a chasm filled with molten ipsium. During his last moments, he unsuccessfully attempted to drag Benni down with him for exposing his misdeeds, in spite of the young boy attempting to save his life and having to put up with the abusive slaver that he seemed to have viewed as his guardian previously, thus proving that Mokko was not only willing to exploit Benni's kindness just to save his own skin, and was also a spiteful and wrathful coward had he not fallen to his death.
Biography[]
After the fall of the Techno Union, the ipsium mine on Ipsidon falls to the hand of Mokko, who took control of it. In order to keep most of the profit to himself, Mokko lies to the miners, including Benni Baro, that the ipsium is degrading. Therefore, he had to cut their rations, greatly limiting the supply of food to them.
Mokko would also publish a system in which the miner with the greatest contributions would become the "top earner", who would then be able to get more rations than others, as well as join Mokko's inner circle. Under the rule of Mokko, the miners were also forced to work in poor conditions.
Wanting to earn Mokko's favor and becoming a "top earner", Benni stole Clone Force 99, AKA the Bad Batch's ship, the Marauder, taking it to the mining base. Benni then showed it to Mokko, who, while praising Benni's effort, warned him that stealing such a ship could draw unwanted attention. He then gave him a water bottle, but not before he drank most of the water, and gave him the defective Gonk droid Gonky. Then, Mokko ordered the miners to disassemble the Marauder, planning to sell it as scrap.
However, the Bad Batch managed to track down the Marauder with Gonky's signal, and forced Benni to take them to the ship and later the control room. They then sent Omega to the control tower to shut down the power shield. As they passed by the dining room, Mokko walked into the room and announced that the miner Drake is once again the top earner and granted him a bowl of soup for himself. Meanwhile, Mokko had the remaining miners eat from the same soup bowl, much to Benni's disappointment and Omega's disgust towards Mokko's poor treatment of the miners.
Later, both Omega and Benni sneaked into the control shield, while Omega shut it down, Benni betrayed her and signaled her location to Mokko. Mokko praised Benni for exposing her, even promising that Benni would be the top earner next time. With that, he soon also found out about the other members of the Bad Batch, and warned them to not shoot or the ipsium mine would explode. Even though the Bad Batch told him they will not miss, Mokko managed to force them to drop their weapons by threatening to drop Omega into the molten ipsium at the bottom of the mine. While this is happening, Benni, who had read from the computer thanks to what Omega told him, discovered that the ipsium had never degraded, and Mokko had been cutting a large portion of the profit to himself. Angry at this slight, Benni demanded Mokko to explain himself while showing it to Drake and the other miners.
With the miners now outraged, Mokko had his droid drop Omega, but instead, she dragged the droid with her. Hunter saved Omega, and meanwhile, Tech and Wrecker shot down the two remaining sentry droids. Mokko, now deciding to deal with this himself, tried attacking the miners with an electrostaff, but lost his balance and fell off the walkway. Benni tried to save Mokko, only for the slaver to try to attempt to drag Benni with them. Luckily, Drake dragged Benni back up, causing him to accidentally drop Mokko into the molten ipsium.
Following Mokko's demise, Benni and the other miners—with their newfound freedom—took control of the mine and were able to get ahold of the food supply the late slave master had kept from them, no longer concerned about starvation. The Bad Batch and Omega finished reassembling the Marauder, leaving Ipsidon after bidding their new friends farewell.

Trivia[]
- Although it has never been specified as to what species Mokko is, he resembles a Zygerrian, a feline humanoid species known for enslaving other sentient species.
- Several Zygerrians also worked with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, so it could be possible Mokko was also a Separatist, hence his electrostaff, a weapon notably used by the IG-100 MagnaGuard droids and General Grievous.
- Because he wears a cybernetic right hand, it is possible Mokko may have lost his original hand during an encounter with a Jedi, which may explain why he uses an electrostaff, which is capable of blocking lightsabers. This could serve as another hint that he may have been affiliated with the Separatists, judging by the fact that his slaves were fearful of him.
- There is a chance he could also be deployed by the Empire since it was revealed that he moved in as soon as the Separatists moved out, in addition to the fact that slavery was legalized as soon as the Empire rose to power.

- He is also a foil to Shep Hazard as Shep is a good mayor to his people on Pabu in spite of being defenseless against the Clone Assassin while Mokko uses his good master as a facade so that he can steal their food.
