Biography[]
Background[]
Not much is known about Molly's past, but she was born around the 1980s to unnamed parents. According to her profile on bedevinweston.com, she sued three members of her high school's staff when she wasn't named homecoming queen. After graduating from high school, she attended Vespucci University and earned a degree in law, and later a master of science degree in corporate raiding from the University of San Andreas. Molly was then hired at the law firm Feist & Welch LLP for training before working for Globe Oil and Redwood Cigarettes, where she overturned several class action lawsuits that accused the company's cigarettes for causing cancer. In 2009, Molly was searched for business tycoon Devin Weston in Rwanda, who hired her to be his lawyer.
In Grand Theft Auto Online in 2013[]
While she does not makes any physical appearance in Grand Theft Auto Online, she is an unseen buyer for the player's vehicle exporting business during the initial events of the game, as part of the Import/Export update.
In Grand Theft Auto V[]
Working for Devin Weston[]
As of 2013, Schultz is still working for Weston. She is in charge of managing his affairs, even illegal ones. She seems to have romantic feelings for her boss, asking him on her Lifeinvader page if he can come see her at her house and that she would be happy to cook him some food. These feelings are not reciprocated, however.
As Devin's right hand and trusted lieutenant, it is Molly who will come into contact with Michael, Trevor and Franklin after her billionaire boss meets them and asks to get five cars back from him, which he can resell more easily and more expensive in Asia.
She makes her first physical appearance in the mission "I Fought the Law", where she is found with Devin at one of his construction sites in Los Santos. Once Franklin, Trevor and then Michael arrive, she debriefs them: Franklin must take one of Devin's sports cars and meet two young men Weston hates at a gas station in order to steal their cars and return them to Devin. To do this, he will race them while Trevor and Michael, disguised as cops, chase them. Once the plan is successful, they drop off the cars at a garage in South Los Santos. There, Molly tells them that for the next mission, they must steal Chad Mulligan's car, an old sports model of which there are only 10 copies worldwide. However, after his divorce, Chad wants to sell his car, which only complicates things for them. However, they will not need Michael: he will rather be put in contact with the famous director Solomon Richards. Franklin will chase Chad and Trevor will help him in an LSPD chopper.
On this mission, "Eye In The Sky", after killing Chad and taking the car, Franklin calls Molly, who tells him to meet them at Devin's hangar at Los Santos International Airport, before notifying security that he is coming, to let him pass. At the hangar, she warns Franklin that he needs to get a car and leave the hangar so the private jet can take off.
Later, during the mission "Deep Inside", she is contacted by Franklin while he is outside the Backlot City movie studio. Molly tells him that he has to get the car from the film set, specially equipped (ejection seats, spikes) and that he has to steal the clothes of the main actor in order to be able to approach the car, or try something else. Once he's cleared of studio security, Franklin calls Molly back, who checks the condition of the car, before telling her to drop it off at South Los Santos, but warns that a suspicious individual is lurking around and to tell them if he notices something.
Finally, when Franklin delivers all the cars to her in the mission "Pack Man", she talks to him. The first immediately asks to the latter for his payment and where is Devin. Without really answering, Molly tells him that Weston is one of the greatest investors the world has ever known, adding that he is a maverick but also a great thinker. A pissed off Franklin retorts that Devin will never fall in love with her and ask for his money a second time. An annoyed Molly replies that “the best thing that could have happened to him in this situation has happened”: Weston will keep their money and invest it in his company and they will only get it when things calm down. Basically, she politely explains to Franklin that he has been ripped off before getting in the car and leaving.
Death[]
In the introduction of the mission "Legal Trouble", Michael arrives at Solomon Richards' office, only to find Devin and Molly there. Devin explains to Michael that they are repossessing the movie, "Meltdown" allowing Devin to claim a massive insurance pay out since the studio has achieved its probable peak value. Since the insurance policy requires the inability to complete the film, he has Molly, take the print copy of the film with her and keep it stashed until Weston sees fit to destroy it.", and then raze Backlot City in order to build overpriced low-end apartments there instead. Molly takes the film from Solomon and leaves the studio.
Unwilling to surrender his first movie after all the work he put through to make it, an enraged Michael follows Molly to Los Santos International Airport to Weston's personal hangar. Although Michael intends to calmly speak to Molly and recover the film, Molly panics and begins driving erratically over the runway at top speed (which in real life is extremely dangerous). In her paranoia (she thinks that Michael is there to kill her), she also drives under incoming planes landing and taking off on the runway; with several police cars which were sent to act as Molly's escort, get knocked out of the way due to her dangerous driving.
Molly then crashes her car into the wall outside Devin's personal hangar. She survives the accident and tells the cops that Michael is trying to kill her (when he really is not). However, as she runs towards the jet waiting for her in the hangar, the jet reactors starts and despite the warnings of Michael and an airport worker, she is accidentally sucked into the jet's operating turbine and chopped into gory, bloody shreds. A horrified and guilty Michael then picks the film up and escapes from the cops.
Soon after Michael is informed by Solomon that the copy Molly took was not a master print as the film is being shot digitally, meaning they have backup copies. Meaning the whole chase and Molly's death were unnecessary and could have been avoided.
Enraged with Molly's death and convinced that Michael murdered her despite his sincere apologise, Devin sends many soldiers of Merryweather Security to kill Michael's family, however, Michael killed the soldiers and saved his family unharmed.

Trivia[]
- Molly Schultz is one of the two female antagonists in the entire Grand Theft Auto series the other being Catalina. However, while Catalina is the main antagonist of Grand Theft Auto III, Molly is not the main antagonist of Grand Theft Auto V and is far less psychotic than Catalina.
- Molly Schultz is one of the few characters to die in an accident (in her case she was sucked into a jet engine) rather than being killed by someone or something. However, as her death is scripted, the mission will fail if she dies before reaching the hangar and cannot be blocked from running through the building to get in the plane, causing her death.
- It is implied throughout the game that she is in love with Devin Weston. In Weston's Lifeinvader page, Schultz invites Weston to spend the night at her house. Franklin also says that Weston will not fall in love with her, no matter how hard she tries, which is seemingly backed up by Devin mentioning that she is "highly strung". Trevor is enamored with Schultz, but she in no way returns his affections. However, when Molly dies supposedly due to Michael's fault, Weston sends a Merryweather Security unit to kill the De Santa family in revenge, demonstrating that at his core, he possibly genuinely cared about Schultz, albeit it's debated whether this is the case or if he did it as Michael made him look like a fool.
- Her death is similar to Syndrome's in the 2004 animated Disney/Pixar film, The Incredibles, but Molly's death was far more gruesome.
- Molly Schultz is one of the only two antagonists to die in an accident, the other being Frank Tenpenny, though Molly Schultz never served as the main antagonist whereas Frank Tenpenny is. In addition, she is far less evil than Frank Tenpenny himself.
- Similarly to Devin Weston, Ron Jakowski, Solomon Richards, Debra, Isaiah Friedlander, and The Lost MC Blaine County Chapter, she is likely from the Northeastern United States and lived there prior to being relocated in Los Santos, San Andreas. Many people from the Midwest and Northeast move to California (which San Andreas is based on) and Florida in real life as well.
