“ | Alfred - we went to a rodeo. We probably will never come back. Love, Mom & Dad. | „ |
~ The note on the fridge in Alfred's birthday flashback in "Rise of Alfred". |
Alfred's Parents are the overarching antagonists of the 2007 Newgrounds short Rise of Alfred and (alongside Beria) the rest of the Alfred Alfer series.
They were the biological parents of Alfred Alfer, whom they would frequently abuse and neglect before ultimately abandoning Alfred on his first birthday, causing him to fall into the hands of a sadistic zoophile who would proceed to treat him even worse and cause him to become a mentally-ill serial killer and necrophiliac.
Biography[]
Alfred's parents are incredibly ambiguous. They're never discussed, but we can speculate about their actions by analysing the lyrics from the Alfred's Playhouse opening song.
“ | It's a fantasy world of fun where reality's distorted, where a manchild goes to forget he was unsuccessfully aborted! (It's kind of like liquor.) | „ |
~ Alfred summarising the Playhouse and its purpose. |
One could assume the man-child discussed in this verse is Alfred, considering that he's the only person to cope via disassociation, and Alfred being an unwanted child would explain his parents' neglect of him.
“ | Your playhouse friends will always love and be around you. They won't abandon you at goodwill, or when you're in the tub, and try and drown you! | „ |
~ Alfred talking about the Playhouse Friends. |
During this lyric, Alfred is shown cuddling two piles of junk labeled "FATHER" and "MOTHER" and attempting to emulate breastfeeding with the latter, implying that these actions were preformed by his parents.
However, two very crucial things are made crystal clear with no speculation required during the beginning of Rise of Alfred. On (what's loosely implied to be) Alfred's first birthday, his parents abandoned him to attend a rodeo with no intent for coming back to him, leaving nothing more than a note reading, "Alfred - we went to a rodeo. We probably will never come back. Love, Mom & Dad."
After this, Alfred fell into the hands of a bald man who would sadistically sexually abuse him in numerous ways, causing him to spiral into a mentally-ill monster who would commit mass murder, go on a necrophilia rampage and eventually become a tyrannical evil cyberterrorist.
Personalities[]
On account of being the only Alfred villains who are never shown, Mom & Dad have no visible personality, but one can speculate some small aspects of what they were like from the note they left Alfred. With loose, casual language like "probably" and "love", one could assume that they were very casual and uncaring of their criminal negligence. One could also theorise that they were slightly sadistic in their actions, with the "love" at the end of the message being an ironic wording due to them having exactly zero love and caring for Alfred. Either way, they're both horrible people.
Trivia[]
- Alfred's parents are the most enigmatic Alfred villains, being the only characters who remain completely unseen throughout all the series.
- Whether or not Beria is unseen remains ambiguous as it's hard to tell whether the Beria present is a hallucination or the real Beria (Likely the former as he seems to dance along with Alfred's other delusions and also dresses comedically perverted), however in the final segment of The Alfred Alfer Movie, Ascent of Alfred, what's implied to be the real Beria (or whatever his name is since it's highly unlikely Alfred was with the actual Beria) can be seen in a framed photo, whereas Alfred's parents are not shown once.
- During Alfred's song for his employees, he sings the lyric, "We won't leave thou Alfred at his BIRHTDAY PARTY! Yooou son of a bitch, come back here with my ROLLERSKATES!". This sounds like it's in reference to Alfred's abandonment on his birthday, but could also imply that Alfred had other insecurities and painful memories around a different birthday, considering that babies usually don't participate in roller-skating.
- Originally, before further analysis, Alfred's parents and Beria were thought to be the same person and thus shared an article.
