Gretel and Hansel's Mom is the main antagonist of the Flash game Gretel and Hansel. She's based on the Mother/Stepmother from the original fairytale.
Plot[]
In their bed, Gretel and Hansel's mom talks with their dad about how the four of them are going to die of starvation because they can't afford to feed everyone in the household, so she suggests abandoning them in the forest. The dad, instead, wants them to have fun in the forest. The mom insists on leaving them to die. In the end the dad is unable to defy his wife, so he complies.
Trying to open the door to the parents bedroom will make the mom break the door with an axe and repeatedly strike Gretel with it.
When Gretel has collected all the stones, the mom tells the kids they're going to the forest. Gretel puts the stones on the way so they can return home.
In the second game, Gretel has a nightmare in which her brother and father are trapped on the ground, she accidentally pulls out her dad's head and her mom is waiting for her with her axe.
Trivia[]
- Her being the biological mother is actually close to the first edition of the fairy tale where it is the biological mother and not a stepmother who desire to leave the kids behind.
