Mongul is an major antagonist in the show Batman: The Brave and the Bold. He is the tyrant ruler of War World. He is the brother of Mongal.
Biography[]
Duel of the Double Crosser![]
Mongul saved Jonah Hex's life by pulling him from the past into the future. In order for Jonah Hex to repay his debt and return back to his timeline, he must capture best fighters from all over the universe in order for Mongul to challenge his sister Mongal, by beating her champion, Steppenwolf. After Jonah Hex gathers all the warriors for Mongul, Mongul demands that Johan must get the last warrior, Batman, which the latter reluctantly do.
After Hex captured Batman, Mongul breaks Hex's promise seeing how much value in a bounty hunter by not sending him back in the past. He is ready to compete against Mongal with his own warriors to fight Steppenwolf. While Mongul watches the fight, Mongal offers a little help for Jonah Hex by giving him the device and a location to where the Time Machine for him to return back in time, so she can humiliate his brother for losing his best fighter. However, Jonah Hex decides to help Batman beat Steppenwolf and escape. This causes both Mongul and Mongal to team up and deal with those escapees. After Batman and Jonah Hex defeat the Female Furries and tie Mongal to a robot horse to be dragged away, she encounters her brother, who was amused by her humiliating defeat, but she manages to warn him that they are going to the time machine and the captured fighters.
Mongul teleported to where Batman and Hex are and he manages to overpower them. This causes Batman and Hex to destroy the machine that free the prisoners, but destroy the time machine, which prevents Hex from return home. Mongul and Mongal, who arrived at the room and free from the restraints, are ganged up by those prisoners to have payback for the all suffering.
Death Race to Oblivion![]
Mongul sets up a race course on Earth in the middle of nowhere. He also selects a handful of heroes and villain that are Batman, Green Arrow, Huntress, Green Lantern (Guy Gardner), Plastic Man, Woozy, Joker, Catwoman, Gentleman Ghost, Black Manta, and his current champion Steppenwolf. He creates some rules in the competition. The first rule should Steppenwolf win, Mongul can uses Warmoon to blow up earth, otherwise should anyone of the of the participants win, then they can rule earth as they see fit. If anyone refuses, Mongul doesn't hesitate to use his Warmoon to blow up the anyone's hometown. The second rule is should any participants not killed in the race, but loses their vehicle will be teleported in the holding cell inside Warmoon to watch the race until the end where they will be executed. The third rule is there are no rules. All the participants have no choice but to play Mongul's game.
As the participants are preparing their vehicles for the race, Mongul notices Batman and Green Arrow arguing, who gets to win in the race to ensure Earth is spaced, but he breaks it off stating that arguing is during the race. Once the race have begin, all the participants drive around and try to win the race by eliminating the competition.
During the racing competition, he watches the race to see that any participants will be teleport to Warmoon's prison cell and their weapons confiscated. Plastic Man and Woozy gotten eliminated by Steppenwolf, for being in the lead. Catwoman was eliminated of the competition by Huntress, which Green Arrow calls Batman out for not saving her from her falling though saved and imprison inside Warmoon's cell. Next, Joker, Black Manta and Gentleman Ghost gang up on Batman to make in fall of the canyon, But the latter turns his Batmobile into a Batplane and trying to eliminate Black Manta and Gentleman Ghost only the latter succeeded with former evading, but Joker put Black Manta out of the race. Mongul noticed that Batman is using the plane and threaten to disqualify him causing Batman to turn his Batplane back to Batmobile with the latter stating that there are no rules. This makes Mongul intrigue over Batman's ruthlessness that he consider replacing Steppenwolf as his new champion unless the latter make the race interesting.
Meanwhile, Green Lantern manages to take the lead, so this causes Steppenwolf and Joker respectively using sound attack and clown Jack-in-the-Box, which scared the former, to break his concentration then Batman nearly run over before being eliminating. Green Arrow calls Batman out for nearly hurting Guy, which made Batman ruthlessly destroys Arrow Car causing Green Arrow to be eliminated. Joker manages to damage Huntress' motorcycle, but she she damaged the Joker Mobile causing both of them being eliminated, but Huntress was not teleported because Mongul thought about a death race to have a little death. With only Batman and Steppenwolf remain they try to eliminate each other, but the third race, who is Huntress, arrives in a Batcycle manages to help the latter overpower the former making Batman the winner of the race.
Mongul congratulate them for winning the race, and he incapacitates Steppenwolf for his defeat. However, Mongul plans to blow up Earth anyway, but Batman already saw through Mongul's trick that he had the imprisoned heroes escaped from their cell and destroy the Warmoon, with the imprisoned villains safe as well as Batman's ruthlessness was a trick. This causes Mongul wanting to kill all the participants, but Batman just one punch Mongul with a Batmobile turned mecha armor mode. He will be sent to prison on Oa.
