Monokid is a minor antagonist in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, being a major antagonist in the prologue and a minor antagonist in Cases 1 and 6. He is one of the Monokuma Kubs who helps Monokuma run the killing game. He is by far the most deranged Monokub, and was killed by Monodam after he pushed him over the edge with his abuse.
He was voiced by Koichi Yamadera in Japanese, who also voices Monodam from the same series, Gentle Criminal from My Hero Academia, Silva Zoldyck from Hunter X Hunter, Akihiko Kayaba from Sword Art Online, Beerus and Tenshinhan from Dragon Ball, Red Genesect, Alva, Hoopa Unbound, Baron Alberto and Marcus from Pokemon, Cat Mask Seller from A Whisker Away, Titus Drautos from Final Fantasy XV, Demon King Jackal from Ultraman and Kaiser Otto from Izetta: The Last Witch. Personality[]
Monokid is loud, abrasive and annoying, being by far the craziest of the Monokubs. He has an extremely short temper and has a very foul mouth, willing to throw slurs at anyone who he either doesn't like, annoys him in the moment, or even people who just happen to be there when he gets mad. He has a habit of constantly abusing Monodam, even saying when he gets mad that he will go abuse Monodam to cool off.
Monokid is by far the least intelligent Monokub, as unlike some of the other kubs like Monotaro, Monodam and Monosuke, he is seemingly unable to be logical at any point and just spouts nonsense and randomly screams "Hell Yeah!" whenever he feels like it. He is by far the most hated of the Monokubs, with not even the kubs themselves mourning him after his death, instead congratulating Monodam on succeeding in killing him.
Biography[]
Monokid was initially created by Team Danganronpa along with the other Monokubs. These kubs were created to add some more marketable mascots to the killing games to increase the merch. He is one of the five Monokuma Kubs, along with Monotaro, Monophanie, Monosuke and Monodam.
Monokid is seen with all of the other Monokubs in the prologue, where he tries to introduce the students to the school and direct them to the gym. When he and the other Monokubs realize that they are just regular students, he uses the flashback light to give the students their "proper" memories.
In the first chapter, he helps his father and the other Monokubs force the students to participate with the killing game. When the students try to resist, he uses his exisal to threaten them with all of the other Monokubs. From then on, he serves a minor comic relief role, serving as a foil to the more intelligent Monosuke and the quiet Monodam. He also passes out during the morning announcements at one point.
During the execution of Kaede Akamatsu, he helps run the execution. However, Monodam decides to get rid of his abuser, and shoves him into the execution, killing Monokid. After his death, none of the Monokubs mourn him or care about him, with Monophanie even saying that she always hated him and that he is better off dead. The only impact he had on the Monokubs was with Monosuke, who didn't actually care about Monokid, but was only worried about what Monodam was capable of.
In the end of the 5th chapter, Monokid is revived by Monokuma along with the other Monokubs. However, none of them have their old memories. They are forced to stop K1-BO from destroying the school, and are soon forced into trying to acquit Tsumugi Shirogane. Unlike the other Monokubs, Monokid doesn't even attempt to try and come up with any reasonable arguments, and he gets blown up by Monokuma.
