Monolith Master or Molitvennik (Prayer Book) is a supporting antagonist in the Ukrainian FPS Survival Horror video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call Of Pripyat.
Monolith Master is a leader of a small squad of Monolith members, and most likely one of the figureheads of the Monolith alongside the Preacher.
Personality[]
Molitvennik appears as extreme fanatic. He can encountered at the River Port, where he would be in a deep trance, to the point that even bullets couldn't wake him up. From his PDA it becomes clear, that the Molitvennik despite being brainwashed is still capable of higher reasoning and even emotions, which confirms that Monolithians are not braindead or mindless puppets.
Appearance[]
The Monolith Master wears a protective suit that slightly reminds an exoskeleton, but without the tubes and with Monolith colors on them.
Biography[]
The player can encounter the Monolith Master while exploring Pripyat, at the River Port, where the player will meet Monolith fighters and Zombies. Inside the the café Degtyarev can find the Monolith Master praying in the tower. Molitvennik will be so deep in prayer that he wouldn't notice Degtyarev walking around, and even if the player decides to kill the him, he wouldn't react to the bullets.
If the player decided to kill Molitvennik they could pick up his PDA, it would reveal the location of two stashes. His PDA is also the most valuable in the game. It can be sold for 5000.
If the player decided to spare the Molitvennik, or didn't encountered him at all. Molitvennik and his squad would appear at the end of "Evacuation", the last mission in the storyline.
Powers & Skills[]
- Leadership: The Monolith Master is the leader of a small squad in Pripyat, and whilst we can't really see how good he as a leader, from the PDA its confirmed that he is capable of proper reasoning.
- Pain Immunity (Implied): The Monolith Master is completely unfazed if the player decided to shoot at him while the former prays. It suggests that the Molitvennik is immune to pain, or it can be just a very high pain tolerance.
